I'm not a Trucker, but a long-haul Salesman now retired and pensioned, bucking 70, who drove many company cars to the ground from 1979 to 2000, and I was always amazed at Peterbilt Rigs. Many drivers staying in the right lane giving me a thumbs up as I drove by them. What I didn't know at my young age was that they were more comfortable than I was. This 589 baby is a masterpiece. All the glory to the Lord who made us human beings who can make these things out of metal and plastic, and rubber too, etc. All comments bring me joy! Thanks!
If we as a society would remember who we work for, we'd all be a lot happier.
Reminds me of my last truck before I got out of the industry. It was a 1982 Peterbilt Cab Over double bunk "Owner Operator edition" very much like this one, with a Cum a part 400 in it. The truck had square headlights and three huge windshield wipers on a one piece windshield. Wrap around dash and ceiling. It was more like a space ship than it was a truck and was just beautiful and dead silent. And yet, all truck. I drove it 3/4's of a million miles without a single Peterbilt problem, original PeterGlide air bags and it rode like a car. Neway air ride on the trailer and it was fluff, loaded or empty. This new Conventional/ Long nose fixes the cramped quarters problems the old long noses had. And very space age, just like my 82. And no doubt, all Peterbilt. Not crazy about the red, but what a beautiful truck. Thanks for the video.
Amen Brother!
Very nice blend of a classic look coupled with an elegant interior.
Yes indeed!
I’ll never get used to the one-piece windshield on these… should have kept the old school look of the 2 piece. Not to mention the cost saving if only having to replace one smaller window if it gets smashed vs. one giant one.
Old trucks rule 😎
I'm sure they would if they could. Or at least keep it as an option. So many rules and regulations for vehicles these days.
You can thank the government and their fuel economy standards for that.
Yeah but if they kept a two piece flat glass window then you wouldn't have to purchase a proprietary windshield from Peterbilt.... it's about them making money not you!
We have one piece screens in our Kenworth models in Australia
I can take or leave either type but I think the single piece model is less fatiguing.. Funny but they one piece is same cost as a single two piece so two piece costs more
Shameful - everyone is moving this way. You’re right, it makes more sense to replace half if you can. As nice as these are, the costs are getting out of hand.
Peterbilt should have never changed that iconic model, this one should be an addition to their truck line up….just like Kw did with the 990.
agreed - what a shame. I had an 86' 359 and an 01' 379 - what trucks they were.
I can’t believe how much the trucks have changed. My dad was a trucker for 40 years in Canada in states, and he used to have to sleep on a piece of board when there was no bunks or sleep on his chair. The industry has come along ways if he was alive, he’d be like wow But the industry has changed in a good way in a bad way the way they build these trucks now is much different than the old days. I still love the cab they should make a truck like that again bring them back
ya but i bet he came home every week or so ,
Perfeito ,magnífico parabéns.
Amazingly beautiful and over all it's a peterbilt 😊❤ I wish i could afford it... 😢
You folks read my mind! As I was watching this video, I was thinking all this ride needs is a cow trailer! Looks great! Love it! (with the cow trailer)🤠
That color is gorgeous
I wish they had these luxury trucks when I was driving. No shifting gears, all the bells and whistles, plus a nice little well-equipped room right behind you.
Give me a Peterbilt sleeper 5 years old with a manual a Cummins without all that automated crap. I'll be happy.
I’m glad your out of the industry with that mindset. We don’t need any more automatic idiots out here. You are the problem and the reason truck drivers will be replaced.
Yeah idiots keep thinking all the “bells and whistles” that trucks gonna replace you.
If we went back to old day trucking half of you idiots wouldn’t last a week
A thing of beauty!
Rigs like this shouldn't be given to just any steering wheel holder. It NEEDS to be earned. Praise to the old school drivers of days gone by.
Pffft .... any person with common sense and the ability to turn a key can drive a truck. It is definitely not rocket science. Earned / smearned
Earned? Okay boomer.
I learned to drive in a 68 Mack with a 15 speed triplex. Fun to drive.
@@xhawkeye8717 😂😂😂 you don't even know what a boomer is Slick so sit down and relax your wee self.

Мой любимый трак🙏💯👍
Very beautiful!❤
Indeed, a beauty! 😍
Really cool. Perfekt. Greetings from Austria
Vai vender muito tá muito linda parabéns a equipe que fez .
Awesome looking semi interior
When I was a kid, only luxury cars had interiors this fancy.
I LIKE THE WAY PETERBILT LOOKING FOR THIS YEARS ❤❤
I love this truck
Beautiful
Indeed!
I can only imagine that interior after a couple of years with a truck driver but it does look good when it's new very elegant looks like an upscale SUV
Depends on the driver. Some will take the time to keep them very clean, since they have to live in it. Others might just trash it, since they are not planning on being with the company long or the stress of truckers life keeps them tired & just don't feel like taking time to cleaning.
@@Weirdracin I agree with you 100% I seen a couple of trucks that look like they cost about 200 g and they probably had about another 30 G of a chrome and light package on them and they were absolutely spotless but most people don't do that and if you've done any Commercial Drive in you seen it yourself
Getting closer and closer to catching up with Freightliner.
Good job Paccar!!!!!!
Almost
😂 you mean they are getting closer with a rebadged 579? 😂😂
Makes me want to start driving again
👍
Not me
why ? ....DEF will kill you, if it cleans itself, while your going down a steep hill / or up ///in the mountains.....good luck with modern junk.....
I LIKE IT VERY BEAUTIFUL TRUCK ❤❤I WOULDN'T MIND DRIVE A TRUCK LIKE THIS ONE
Максимально приятная машина

Very nice video. I would love to have one.

A bachelor's enclave. 🚙🚙🏡❤️
Сделано с заботой о водителе, спасибо производителям автомобилей. Я надеюсь мне удастся на таком или подобном поездить.
Very nice interior. Could be QUITE cozy for two. 😘😉😁
AWESOME 💯👍👍👍
*Super ciągniki robi wrażenie 👍*
Holaaa...que hermozura de maquina ...sin palabras ❤
Compare to what I have right now…heck yes!
Da hat der Peter ja was schönes gebaut.
Show
Fantástico
Изумительно!
Too bad that all of these new "premium" truck are now over $200k, are mostly plastic on the inside, and mostly junk under the hood. My first truck was an International COF4070B, 318, 10 speed, mostly metal interior, no computer chips, and It NEVER broke down! Maybe a little slow, maybe a little loud, but service and parts were available everywhere when I needed it. After I got off the road, I worked in sales and management at a truck dealership for one of the bid four for almost 30 years until 2022, and there are no trucks, red oval included, that have the reliability of that old corn binder!
Wish my boss would get me one of those. Beautiful truck
Шикарно
Such a gorgeous truck, would be afraid to pull into a truck stop nowadays only to get hit by a steering wheel holder.
Beautiful truck 5 star truck
My type of truck!!!
Bom dia malta, muito lindo 😮❤❤❤.
It really is! 😍
SWEET
WOW
Very nice Truck.
It sure is!
peterbilt is slowly transforming into a volvo
Fake news. You cant live in the past forever.
They went from legendary TO LEGEND RUINED
Why? They went from a tiny, outdated cab, to something more modern?
Very nice
I like the looks of the truck on the outside as far as inside goes I’ll keep my 2012 Cascadia I have a TV in there. I have an APU on it I have everything I need other than a $4000 payment a month or more.
Very nice interior.
Very nice 👍
Супер тягач!
И коробка автомат!
А у нас до сих пор у камазов ручку КПП переключать надо!
Very nice semi.
The interior is immaculate. Bit how can you just sissy it upwith an automatic ? That ain't right.
1:35 It's a manual.
It's a manual. If you would like it in an automatic you certainly can get one. As for wanting a more sissy look you can always add pink accents to your truck. It's not for everyone but you can do whatever you like. Don't know many Truckers who want a sissy look. Each his own I guess.
@@johnlafleur7480 Women truckers. There are plenty of them nowadays.
@@johnlafleur7480they were showing 2 different trucks. The one at the start was an automatic, there was no clutch pedal or shifter. Then they showed a manual when showing the shifter and pedal, then back to an automatic. If you look close I believe the driver door trim was different too.
They want autonshift so unskilled immigrants can take your job!
best trucks ever built
😍
Looks nice, I think any driver would be lucky to get one to drive. If not, send one my way.
Träum schön
That thing will spend more time in the shop costing you money than you will spend on the road making money.
The automatic transmissions in semi trucks are a safety issue. I worked for Yellow when they got them and always wrote them up. You don't have the control with the automatic like you do with a manual transmission. If someone doesn't know how to drive a manual transmission then maybe they shouldn't be a truck driver or they can have the automatic transmissions.
Awesome interior!
She’s a beauty
Extra.

It sounds like a warning. I know, I know....Poland will rule all the world one day. Good luck!

Thank You
Amen hopefully god hears you
Gorgeous. Simply gorgeous. It needs a manual trans. I haven't driven manual since 2013 and miss it dearly. As a 10 year company driver, seeing these gorgeous trucks makes me want to take the risks of being responsible for the truck breaking down. I would've already if i didn't make 75 cpm with 6 figure income including fuel/safety bonuses. But still....i can't own one of these trucks staying in company. You only live once, right?
Europa se pone de rodillas ante nuestros camiones.
That's like traveling in first class. Except, you are the captain and flight crew.
Well, actually, hotel rooms have bathrooms 😅
Hotel description depends on the owner. Companies go cheap with less options when buying, since companies only use the trucks till the warranties are about up, then trade in for new ones. Where trucks bought by an owner operator usually have more options to make it comfortable & they tend to keep the truck longer.
Not really a hotel, more of a rubber room to give the driver a place to vent while stuck in the truck for weeks.
Sharp ass truck
On the outside it looks old school but on the inside very high tech and modern.
Cab doesn't look old school at all
Long as these companies keep making them with stick . That was the defining skill that weeded out the flip flop steering wheel holders , and in turn made our roads safer ..
Noice!!
with full cabin wrap around curtains i hope.
The best truck built in the USA.
i can not get over the way trucks have changed. my dad was a truck driver in the 60's, 70's and 80's until it killed him. back then driving a truck was work, turning the wheel and working through the gears, you worked. having his truck break down was a vacation for him. now . . . . . . . . . he would not believe what he would see today.
*Your dad is or was one of those American icons behind the wheel, keeping our country supplied. So, I thank him and all the truck drivers for his service. Without our truck drivers, it would be hard to enjoy America in the way we do.*
I arrived in the USA as an immigrant in 1977 from South Africa. We didnt have big rigs back then. I recall being fascinated with them from the moment I saw one. And yes i remember how drivers had to work through the gears and actually drive the beast. So I read your post about your dad with fond memories. May he RIP for keeping everting we ever need on a shelf in a store etc so close by. People take truckers for granted
My first big truck was a two stick Mack with manual steering good times
you sir have my sympathy.@@scottviverette14
you sir have my sympathy.@@scottviverette14
where are you supposed to put that infernal ELD?
😍😍😍😍😍
Big car!!!!!!!!!!!
We should have them in Australia 🇦🇺..
Beautiful layout both cab and sleeper. Unfortunately not built for aussie outback roads. A week of outback trucking would destroy them.
The ultimate Road King. The 589 Pete
Why is it theres no screen on the control panel ? There's a lot of space ! Is there a 369 camera ?
Donde Regalan estas Maquinas❤❤
I mean, is this really truck music? 🎶
wow that looked like 14 different gauges on the center consol
Sadly I was born to late I was a uk trucker that slept across the engine on a board and sleeping bag 😢
Sounds cozy.
When my dad first started trucking in 46, he had a wood stove on the passenger area for heat.
Rather have manual transmission
💯
The video showed two versions: one automatic and one manual.
I thought the same thing… that’s what trucking is all about-
Thirteen speed 4 this old driver 😊
Agreed.
Beautiful ! Only im not big on relying on electronics. Seen too many expensive failures in that stuff.
