I’m an American conservative in my sixties. The trans faction refuses to argue because their position is merely an assertion based on an appeal to non-reality driven by emotion. There is zero doubt that they’re all about the recruitment of minors-they admit as much repeatedly.
Same age group as you, and I agree. Perhaps one of the reasons why they want to trans little kind I’d because these groomers are nothing more than little kids themselves mentally. Actually closer to babies.

The absurd claim that males can "transform" themselves into females, or vice versa, is an insult to basic intelligence and common sense.
The fact that little kids are being chemically, surgically and psychologically mutilated in the name of this depraved ideology, is an atrocity of the highest order.

(1:44) The concerns about children is not about being fanatical. Most of the women in my family either currently teach in schools or have at some point recently been teachers (including myself). We are not even conservative but what we see happening in schools is moving many of us in that direction. It’s deeply deeply deeply concerning.
Maybe it’s not as bad on the UK in terms of how children are targeted but the full strength of the indoctrination machine is clearly pointed towards children here in the US.
It’s in our schools, entertainment, all media, sports, stores… literally everywhere. Everything is being made to be child friendly and child accessible.
There’s some parts of the country where legislation is being passed that could have children taken from their parents if parents don’t affirm certain things.
It’s not a fanatical response. This trend of marketing this lifestyle and its preferences to children is prolific in the US and many people on, all sides, from many different communities and backgrounds are concerned.

If they wanted balanced, they would have gotten a speaker for trans rights on the show. The people out protesting may not have wanted to talk but there are organizations that would send people to be interviewed.
I could tell this guy wasn't being clear about the debate within the first 25 seconds of the video. I really don't see why someone would think that interrupting someone in the middle of what they are doing and then asking them to pay attention to them and not what they are doing is somehow refusing to debate. I highly doubt the events happened as described. It wouldn't be the first time someone lied for the sake of an argument.

They won't listen and they won't debate because they know when truth, facts and biology are used in the same sentence, they've lost their argument.
The difficulty is on the "moderate" liberals to stand up to the "radical" liberals. Identity affiliation prevents most of them to do so. The radical component is small, but dominate and seems to speak for all liberals, because of the lack of push back from the larger silent liberal component.

I heard a woman psychologist who specializes in the parents of 'trans' children. Due to the social climate, they're not even able to publicly express or display their pain. Heartbreaking.

I have seen this movie and there it was said that transition of one person brings 1.3 millions $ to big farma.

Thanks for this! It would seem the concept of agree to disagree died and was buried long ago. It's impossible to have even a discussion, much less a debate, when one side believes their views are the only ones allowed to be brought to the table and they use strong armed intimidation and bullying tactics to silence the other side.

I have always said that most conservatives and most liberals actually agree on many things. We use different wording and those semantics often drive us apart. If you remove the extremists on both sides, we aren’t that differnt on many issues.

Libs: 12 weeks is fine
Progressive left: termination is fine up to the kids first birthday

The US has been under attack for a long time. We've been radicalized by Marxist since at least the 60s. We used to be very non partisan, but not many people remember those days. Thomas sowell is one. Transgenderism isn't a considered opinion. It’s an ideology, opposition to which must be punished with some kind of violence, at the very least verbal.
Hi! I'd say I disagree with that initial premise since there are tons of facts and logical arguments present in the trans movement. If you need an example, there's pretty uncontested medical evidence that people who medically transition are wayyyyy less likely to suffer from possible self harm or self-deletion in their life. After living in America for a few years, I totally agree with Konstantin about the attitude of Americans towards success and the British attitude towards it. The Americans I met were the cheerleaders of anyone who try’s.
If I asked a protester if they could tell me what they're protesting about and they said no, I wouldn't assume they were not trying to be persuasive, I'd assume they had no idea why they were there.

If you think about Gen Z and those who are in their mid 20's and younger, what point of reference do they have in how life really works and what a great environment you want to grow up in? Their lives have grown up around BLM, Antifa, Covid lock-downs, and all of this trans confusion all around them, it is no wonder they are so confused about what a great life and society should be. Those of us who are the decedents of those Irish and Italian immigrants who had to come to this country in the worst of conditions and no hands out given to them but the opportunity to come here, WE get it and even though we were poor, we were safe, and good schools, no fear of high crime or violence in our towns...we were most fortunate and understand what a great time we had growing up. Most grew up respecting school, enjoyed those friendships made and knew that K-12 was important as our grandparents did not have those things growing up in the early 1900's and living through the great deperssion and two world wars. This pampered generation will never get it and is unwilling to learn.
Trouble is in life there is no debate anymore. You should be allowed to express yourself no matter what.

I'm an American old school liberal who will be voting conservative until the left can come to grips with falling over itself to support wokism. Exactly. I am somewhere in the middle politically I guess but I listen to a lot of different voices. I dont 100% agree with anyone, but in the real world that includes free thinking and nuance that is and always has been totally normal. As an apolitical American whos starting to lean more right, I think it's fair to say a lot of us are actually pretty open to discussion, as well as other ideas. Particularly in the face of compelling evidence/truths. I think you have radical people all around the world especially in the east. The only people who are extremely radical are niche groups who dont matter so much and progressive leftists.

I am Australian and have lived and worked in the US and found the people friendly, generous and welcoming. It would have been a good career move to stay there but there are aspects of American culture I did not warm to such as the gun fetish (I have hunted and anyone who needs an assault weapon to do so needs to learn how to hit a target), general public squalor in the midst of private mega-affluence, and although this was not a problem at the time, the rise of political extremism.
I am still in regular email contact with my former American girlfriend who has become very successful but envies many aspects of Australian society.

I'm a Classical Liberal with touches of Conservatism, Libertarian, Democrat (Local Governance), and so forth. As a person who isn't Heterosexual, I watch in horror as people are quite literally using the medical system to commit self-harm and removal of perfectly good HEALTHY parts of the body. All this to make a psychological statement and be required to have medical care for the rest of their lives in the form of medication. This is not good.

An open discussion from both sides would be interesting and surely productive for everyone? I think though it would represent challenges for everyone. As someone who can see both sides of things I feel that I would get pigeonholed by either side as being anti this or pro that , when really I’m just for truth , debate and open exploration. Gender identity and sexuality is a highly complex area that presents many questions to all concerned and something society needs to think about deeply on all levels. It’s not as simple as both sides seem to want it to be.

I think countries with a parliamentary government are more adept and open to forming alliances across ideological lines. For a prime minister to be in power he must form a coalition, coalitions often are amongst people who do not agree with each other but for the important issues of running the government they set aside differences. They can fully pursue the things they do agree on. Perhaps I am being naive not living under one.
The US enshrines tribalism by it's very structure, majority party versus minority party. Parliamentary government there is a universe of parties.
The US government politicians speak of compromise and bipartisanship, but only through an irrational mechanism of omnibus bills, pork, earmarks, and bills whose titles can be total lies. It forces a state of illusion, the appearance of government doing something but actually fighting against their own interests, truthfully representing no one but themselves, the elites.
I'm sure a parliamentary/coalition government has its problems too, it just seems to be a little more transparent in action. Compromises seem not to adulterate the things they express to achieve. They just don't pursue the things they cannot agree on, to focus on the things they can. It keeps a coalition together.
In the US government compromise always seems to keep the worst of both sides. I cannot stand these politicians that think they have something to brag about in being bipartisan when they're really being total hypocrites and sellouts against the causes that elected them.

Because the people on Both sides of a conversation, must have at least the minimum required amount of neurological capacity. If you are unable to comprehend all of the facts properly... When someone says something that you don’t understand, it makes you confused. The brain does not like to feel confused, so it tells you that you have a problem going on. If you are neurologically disordered, you are incapable of acknowledging that your problem is you. So you decide that the conflict had to be created by the person, who only said something that you did not understand. After deflecting all logic and reason for too long, your brain gets worn out and you become frustrated. Too much frustration triggers the freeze fight or flight and the conversation goes moot.
There is no resolution in DEBATE. Resolution is met through discussion!

With much respect to Konstantin, who deservers a lot of credit for speaking about such issues, I think many classical liberals are firmly on side with conservatives on the notion of the far-left/libs "transing the kids". Not all, surely, but I myself am a leftist, who disagrees with many conservative ideas, but not on that one.
If your entire ethos is total bullstuff, debating it is not an option. Calm and reasonable it most definitely is not.
It’s pretty simple and goes to the core of the debate. Let me give you some background. The term Transgenderism is used typically by people who think that being transgender is a belief system- like capitalism or socialism. These people don’t believe in Transgenderism they think it’s wrong and immoral. People who are transgender don’t see it as a belief system, it’s who we are- it’s how we are born- we have no choice. In fact too many people who are transgender are also transphobic as well- which sort of proves the point. This is a foundational misunderstanding. The reality is that we are here, we are not an idea or a theory- we have the same rights as anyone else.
