All ages, all shapes and sizes, from teens to 60-somethings raving together listening to honest hard technotrance with nobody trying to be the coolest dude or hottest chick in the place.

It's Berlin culture. Most clubs have a "no phone" policy and bouncers would put a sticker on your phone's cameras upon entry. That being said, I still saw many pictures and videos taken at Rave the Planet, but it was mostly discreet.

Great to see people still dancing to a TR909 kick and some rinsed distorted TB303 bassline, 30 years later. I preferred the sound of 1989-1991 UK real underground rave music, it had a lot more variety, all sorts of different vibes in one big melting pot.

It got snobby 'oh I only like techno I don't like that Jungle crap' etc. In 1991 everyone danced to everything, it was all people together against the world.
@@DjNikGnashers we danced to an underground track only on white label followed by the number one song in the pop charts. Hip hop would be played in amongst techno . Was the same in the rally Chicago and New York days too. 1993 was when the alcohol and corporations took over .

is it just me or has decent rave music suddenly come back?? i used to listen to trance and techno in the 90's and felt like that sound had died but... Richie Hawtin is doing some pretty epic stuff too nowadays.
Ich war dabei und wollte es mir nicht entgehen lassem, war anfangs etwas skepptisch, aber schon die Hinfahrt sagte mir, ja ..... das besondere Gefühl vom Spirit war wieder zurück und ich habe es nicht bereut, für mich war es ein Zeitgefühl von den Loveparaden aus 1991 - 1995, ich habe meinen alten Schulkolegen getroffen nach Jahren, und hatte zum Schluß an der Siegessäule mit ner Freundin einen tollen Sonnen Untergangs Ausblick, bin nächstes Jahr wieder dabei, und hoffe das es beim 2ten Versucht mit der Abschluß Kundgebung dann klappt, 🙂

Es wurde in zig Dissertationen über das Phänomen Techno und Goa PsyTrance geschrieben und deren Substanzen von LSD bis MDMA. Der DJ ist der Schamane, der seine Truppe in Trance bringt. Albert Hoffmann war sein Meister 👍👍👍
