Welcome to the abode of equality! Shegaon is located in the Buldhana district of Maharashtra. A very popular saint Shri Sant Gajanan Maharaj spent 32 years of his life in this beautiful village and took samadhi on 8th September 1910 in Shegaon. Gajanan Maharaj Mandir in Shegaon is the exact place where he took Samadhi. He changed the lives of many people and families through his spiritual knowledge and supernatural powers. Since then, a lot of devotees have traveled to this holy land of Sant Gajanan Maharaj from various parts of the world.
Shri Gajanan Maharaj Sansthan, are known for their management and organization abilities and their methods are taught to various management students across the world. As Shegaon comes in the drought region, water scarcity issue was one of the major issues in Shegaon tehsil. Shri Gajanan Maharaj trust took the initiative to build Anand Sagar in Shegaon, where an artificial lake is created to beat the eater scarcity issues in Shegaon and nearby areas. Anand Sagar is one of the prominent and successful projects in India.
In this video, We are taking you on a road trip journey from Dombivli to Shegaon. If you wish to travel by train/bus, Shegaon, Akola, Buldhana is the nearest railway station to Shegaon (every train does not stop in Shegaon railway station). After reaching Shegaon, we primarily went to book a room in Shegaon Bhakt Niwas. There are numerous Bhakt Niwas in Shegaon, as it was peak Diwali season we found it a bit hard to get a room in Bhakt Niwas near Shri Gajanan Maharaj Temple. 1.5 Km from the temple, we then booked a 5-bed cottage room in VISAVA Bhakt Niwas Shegaon (Feedback, experience, prasadalay, and budget information are shared in the video).
First things first, Post check-in we went to take the darshan of Shri Sant Gajanan Maharaj. Gajanan Maharaj Mandir management is something that I am in awe of. Right from the entrance to exit you will find volunteers in every corner to guide you. After taking Shri Gajanan Maharaj Darshan we ended our day in bhakt niwas. The next day, post our yummy breakfast at Visava Bhakt Niwas prasadalay we geared ourselves to explore the magic of Anand Sagar and Shegaon.

Hello, Anand Sagar open hai partially, jitna mene video me dikhaaya h anand sagar ke baareme filhal utna hi open hai. Kuch portion me development ka kaam chal raha hai, jo atleast ek saal jaaega poora hone me. Uske baad Anand Sagar completely open kia jaega visitors ke lie. As of now, aap partial Anand sagar visit kar sakte ho.

Anand sagar is open for all visitors. A portion of Anand Sagar is under construction, they are adding a lot of new features to the project, making it more exciting for visitors like us. As of now, you can visit, temples in Anand Sagar. Lake, garden and all is closed.
Currently to cover just the temples it will take roughly 2/2.5 hours.
Once it is completely operational, it will take a day.

They don’t take online bookings.
They have the registration office inside bhakt niwas, you can do booking through them. Offline completely.
I am from goa, can I go to shegaon by flight from goa..if yes can you please let me know if its possible?
Yes you can, you can take a flight from Goa to Aurangabad. And from Aurangabad you can either take a cab or catch a bus to Shegaon. It’s roughly 230 km from Aurangabad.

You need to renew your booking each day. It’s 24 hours circle, if you check in at evening 5, you can occupy the space till next evening 5 PM. 🕔
