Growing up - there was the food network.
Now - there’s Sonny.
Yes so now we get honest and real information and feedback instead of whatever sponsorship the food network took this week 😅
Alton Brown was my guy. Mr. Science
@angelsallurecabaret Mine as well, my mom still remembers how much I loved his show as a kid. Good Eats!
Sonny the next iron chef
Fair enough
It's crazy. These "more best ever..." are just filmed on an iPhone and yet they still hold up against the main channel for quality. Sonny is the King of Food. Thank god he never got lost to TV
I had no idea this was iphone filmed
I’m almost positive it’s not only iPhone phone because they’ve turned around to the cameraman before and they’ve had cameras
@@Jessicaknows78 On the main channel they have all the gear. On the ‘more’ channel we have been led to believe it’s just Sonny with his Wife using an iPhone. Of course they could have changed the MO since those days.
Fun and spontaneous unlike the main channel's decent into cringey, simply social commentary and just eating unappetizing crap
man still alive from last chile seafood video, hats off
Brother, we are literally a coast, sea is 1 hour away lmao
@@RoundBaguetteand still they somehow screw it up, trust me even if its the top of the top restaurant or market, dont in chile
@@RoundBaguette He gone to a seafood market in Bali that is right next to the sea and half the food look spoiled, being next to the sea isn't a good defense, people can still fucked it up
@@DuranimosBeatzz weakling
@@DuranimosBeatzzthat depends on the chef and where you are buying it. A food from a restaurant inside a galeria isn't the same as eating at a big restaurant in front of the beach. Both the same dish, but it change a lot. Much better than fish from freezers
I think there was some translation error. The prawn empanada was with slightly salty queso ranco not parmesan. They tend to use parmesan instead of the local names for a few cheeses.
Ah, I was wondering, because that was definitely not real parmesan/parmigiano...
Parmesan is just very much not a melty cheese, but if locally they kind of use it as a generic term for some cheeses, it might explain how that term made it in the video.
Happens everywhere. In Barbados 🇧🇧 we call Mahi Mahi Dolphin and all brands of toothpaste are called Colgate lol
Thank you... i really didnt wanna be that guy calling out that error.. cmon it is quite obvious it's not parmigiano reggiano
@@makkatree7467dolphin fish is another common name for mahi mahi
@@makkatree7467Dolphin is the original name in english for Mahi Mahi, Mahi Mahi is I believe the Hawian name and has been mainly pushed to be easier to sell. Think Chilean Sea bass verses Patagonian tooth fish.
I love how you do all of this with your wife that's awesome
thank you sonny for showing/teaching me about food around the whole world. I don’t really have a lot of food at home all the time so seeing your content shows me a lot of things I’d like to try in the future when I’m in a better position in life
Thank You Sonny!
This is by far the best food channel on CZcams
Can’t believe you were here!! Yeah it’s true, we chileans love our mayonnaise. But for those wondering, those sandwiches and dishes with tons of mayonnaise, actually have a homemade mayo that is much lighter and not too vinegary as the jar one.
As a German I can tell you, that mayonnaise over here never tastes vinegary... So yours does? I wish I could taste for myself someday
@rosapanther8466 even here in the states (U.S.) CERTAIN ONES ARE definitely tasting heavy vinegar
That crab looked incredible. Fantastic presentation
Edit: Just hought id even the cheapest restaurant looked well cared for, clean and the chefs were properly dressed and looked like they genuinely care about the food they make. A great advertisment for restraunts in Chile, fantastic pride 👌
Over the years ive learned one thing... If Sonny talks while he eats, and it sounds he is talking outta his slippers, its goooood.
Sonny's video's always cheer me up haha.
wrggg
That crab died just to have my man eat it with ketchup 😂
I never knew I wanted to go to Chile, but now... I'm hungry!
Watching this in my bed with a cup of noodles ❤
Finally som decent Chilean chefs, looked really delicious 🫶🏼🇨🇱
Yeah, too bad that they keep running away from you when you try to season them though.
@@youssef16844 🤪
That king crab was a grandfather.
I have been obsessed with Pebre since I tried it. Now I’ve learnt how to make it and I bring it to every bbq, so good on meats 🤤🤤
I've been a big fan of Chile since I learned Tom Arraya was born there. I support Universidad Católica and hope to visit. Especially after watching this.
SLAYER 🤘🏼
My sympathies on the Gout, that's one thing we have in common. I'm suffering right now from eating home made sausages in natural casings for the past month.
Try colchicine
I absolutely love your vids! Amazing work, Sonny and Team.
Chile sea level is tops how the chart looks over everything to pick out the best fish ,crab.your plate looked amazing and delicious too. You put everything together with teamwork, and try to have everything where everyone can enjoy and have a better understanding of what you’re trying to tell them.
OOHHH I love those EMPANADA (??} absolutely looks delicious 💌 Forget SAMOSAS.. I learned Crab meat with Garlic Butter is Sonny fave. Weins moment at 13:52
Centolla is not rare at all 😂
in the south of Chile where Sonny travelled to Antarctica, you can buy a Kilo of pure crab leg-meat for 30$, that's cheaper than cheap beef in Germany ^^
@mishXY,
WOW, that's amazing 🦀!
Man I love these videos, I tend to watch them when I decide to make myself hungry for a big meal hahaha.
I'm loving the storytelling aspect of this food video - it's like a culinary journey!
just found your channel. great entertainment!
Reminds me of Worth It!
man do I miss that style of shows.
loved this mayo-themed Chile adventure
Everything looked so good! I love seafood and now I'm craving it. lol
The car honk was the best 😂😂😂😂
Aquí está Coco!! Great restoran a classic !
Sonny at an Egyptian exhibit museum - "Mmmmm, tastes like beef jerky."
My Saturday just got better. 👍
no such thing as b or not
Seeing Sonny open his arms wide after taking a bite made in heaven, you just know the taste Is superb.
I wish that some day i would be able to travel like you
That's my dream
B.E.F.R.S 4-ever!!! This show is never gets me bored! Always watching ! Sometimes I repeat those episodes too.. no CZcamsr can replace sonny 🤟🏻😅
Never thought I'd wait weekly again for episodes of shows like its cable T.V. ❤
Sonny saying he’s not a huge fish guy was the most surprising thing I’ve heard all year 😂 could have fooled me
Just a small clarification: 0.34 - it is not a Chilean seabass (Patagonian toothfish) that American love. Most likely Corvina, Drum Fish, which in Chile called 'Chilean Seabass'. This has been a cause of many unhappy tourists who ordered Chilean Seabass thinking they would get the one like in the States, but being served Corvina instead.
Oldest mukbang video ever, it’s so nostalgic to rewatch this.
I love the background sound everytime i hear some of it from your different videos, hahah, brings back memories
That abalone dodged a bullet, becoming a pet instead of food.
This guy Sunny, or Sonny, has me cracking up 😂all the way to the finish. His monologue Is so witty and the sound effects so funny. This one is my favorita. Greetings from Tijuana.
“Let’s go look at some feesh “😹😹
Growing up in Chile 🇨🇱.. i was always a big fan of meat growing up over fish but as I grew older the fish just blew my mind. Especially in Santiago its amazing
Wild caught Chilean red shrimp is my fav.
Chile has many different types of seafood that are out of the ordinary: giant mussels (Cholgas and Choro zapato), giant barnacles (picorocos), piure, pinuca, abalone (locos), machas, navajuelas, giant sea snails, also algae such as cochayuyo, lúche, ulte, all kinds of fish and crustaceans of which for me the best is the Magallanes King Crab ("centolla"). Of course you can try it in gourmet dishes but if you want to try the most authentic flavor, it is best to travel to the south of Chile, especially Chiloé, where you can eat the traditional "Curanto". I'm from the Magallanes region, in Patagonia, where King Crab is caught, here we typically eat it on a base of lettuce with half an avocado in the center of the plate, stuffed with King Crab and the legs of the King Crab on the sides, all garnish with homemade mayonnaise.
2 cb Help yourself concentrate by removing anything that might distract you from your work. This could be a mobile phone, email notifications, and so on. gd
As a person that suffers from crappy gout attacks, it's still always funny when Sonny jokes he's going to get attacks from the foods in these videos
Finally....another culture that eats crab and lobster with mayonnaise like I grew up in Hawaii.
Wow that crab and all that seafood look's so delicious thanks for sharing.
Too many delicious seafood thats my favorite enjoy sir
I think the eel chowder looked like the one I would get. Imagine eating it on a lovely winter day with a baguette of good bread.
Calling $163 of like 10 bites of crab a good value LMAO!!!
Who else finds this to be the only food show you watch from start to finish every single video??🫶
King crab is lovely but personally I think a good old fashioned Dungeness crabs has far more flavour pound for pound. But the king crab obviously you get a lot more meat but insane cost.
La sopa de angila se llama en chile : caldillo de congrio y era el plato.faborito de PABLO NERUDA! el tenia su propia preparacion mejorada con camarones y un chorro de crema entera una delicia monumental y poetica....
12:20 gives me jump scares when crab screaming 😱💀
That is some soft looking parmesan cheese. I'm going to guess it's a local cheese and the translator got it wrong.
Maybe the name for it is similar, but yeah, parm don't stretch like that haha
It's gauda or ranco. Im chilean and empanadas arent made with parmesano.
@@Arielox1997 Thanks for clearing that up!
Sonny, so nice hat you found a wonderful wife that supports your endeavors
Absolutely biggest crab I've ever seen😮
Love the “wife bites” ❤
Easily one of the best channels on CZcams
From Minnesota here and I can confirm ranch is the lords dressing
I want to designate this comment to the editors.
You guys are doing an amazing job!
Perfectly done with the video clips, sound effects and the transitions.
Apparently, the Chilean explosion of mayonaise (mayonesa) started in the 1980s, when commercial mayonaise first became available, and its ability to stay shelf stable at room temperature guaranteed popularity. Also a huge sandwich culture exists in Chile!

Estimado...Excelente reseña
Sonny. You make me LOL and roll my eyes so hard
Sonny side always gets the best foods
Truly enjoyed this
In South Africa we call that fish Kingklip which is not considered an eel here but it is part of the cusk eel family. Very delicious but very expensive here!
En chile vale 13 dolares el kilo...
If your kid wants beer, give him apple juice😂😂😂
The first shrimp lopked great, although i never trued crab or lobster, looked increadable
Woah that serving with the eel was massive!!!
Love you bro from India ❤
I love crabs..love this episode,cool!!
That was so satisfying to watch I now am going out to buy seafood.
Worlds best resturaunt in Peru? 🇵🇪
Poor robot, was just trying to win friendship through food... 😢
Hopefully you have a full episode going to the Chilean patagonia to eat traditional Southern food.😊
That artwork is fantastic in Ocean Pacific's. I don't really understand why some people don't like eel. Meh, to each their own. Either way, with the price and menu, I think it should be the winner.
My roommate wouldve loved watching this video, she was a crab addict ha! Great video! ❤😊
Just glad you survived that deadly seafood last week
Weirdly enough I love the older videos
I’d love to have see a video specifically about this phantom “abalone cooking facility” where all Chilean abalone apparently go to die
that 4$ fried tacos is a steal..
13:44 JFC my guy 😂
Sony: "Sadly none of my friends and family are here today" (As his WIFE stood behind the camera)
A robot brings me my food I'm walking out ...
I hate probably 9.9/10 foods this man eats but his commentary and hype factor really lets you appreciate these videos
Next time tell wife to say hi not just shooting video, sonny get these 😎😎🤣🤣😂😂😂
Those crabs you caught are insane 🦀🤙🏼💚🏵️
Im a new suscriber, from mexico keep it
going enjoyed all your work and videos ❤
You should try the abalone with the beet sauce.
Bro that first dish was mouth watering
I bet when he said I have no friends here the camera man cried 😭🤣🤣
Why the south American food makes me hungry actually 🤤👍
I was hopping to meet you randomly in santiago since i have seen your videos from a really long time:/
Ur so hilarious! Love vids
The food in the video is secondary the channel is a success only because of Sonnys sense of humour
the big eel is called congrio, the most delicious fish you'll ever try.
Omg that crab salad!
Fun fact, the Chilean Locos (Abalone) are extremely rubbery and basically impossible to eat. What they do is put them into an inner tube and bang them repeatedly on the ground to soften them up. Sonny seemed to like them but many Chileans think of them as an acquired taste.
I love locos con mayonesa ❤
