@@hildasjoblom5759 This is my case. It's a complicated beast - I have issues with social situations, and can be very overwhelmed by emotion, but I don't think that's the case for everyone. I'm ASD level 1 (basically what people know as Aspergers), but I just wanted to chime in with my personal, anecdotal experience and to agree that it's very different person-to-person, and that's part of the difficulty in identifying it accurately.

@@hildasjoblom5759 That’s not true, you have SYMPATHY not empathy. And aspergers is called autism now. We feel others pain but we can’t understand it, that applies to all of us. The reason we lack empathy is because it’s hard to read the emotions of others, but once we do we tend to feel their emotions very strongly. It’s confusing but what you feel is sympathy not empathy, because empathy implies that you understand their thought process

“The best way to fool people, is to help them.” Remember those words, because this is the only valuable information the first guy gave. When someone in your life gives you something or does things for you, but then holds it over your head in order to get things from YOU... Run. Classic abuser. And yes it can be someone in your family, someone you love. Never let your love be used as a weapon against you; it is a privilege to be in your life, NOT a right.

Onion Face Finding those very few special people that you can actually trust is part of the magic of being alive (and believe me, when you meet them you will KNOW); it would be a terrible shame never to get to experience that, so DO trust, but with discernment 👀 when the words don’t match up with their actions, smile and take three deep breaths, and then be as blunt as humanly possible. Don’t be afraid of hurting feelings. Manipulators and liars become undone when faced with the truth. Even the most malignant of narcissists can get a small moment of clarity, just don’t stick around for the explosion! 😆

Their brains can't detect threat, there's no threat detection whatsoever, so they can't feel what it's like to be scared, because if they did, they would likely be like you and I, not killing people, but I guess if you don't physically feel anything, than perhaps you could brutally kill someone and not care, because you don't feel anything.

There it is, that typical „switch“ of the psychpaths, that subtle voice change, almost no blinking, the hypnotizing stare. You can see it starting at 10:50 when he talkes about his daughters. His true, cold, absolutley calm but highly manipulating evilness slips in front, that’s so creepy. Unfortunately I experienced that once, and I can give just one good advice to everyone If you ever notice that behaviour in a person: run! But do it quiet, do not offend them, but leave as quick as you can!

Similar experience, I likely met one, when I first met him, he’s a boss of somebody I talked to,his smile and eye expressions differed from each other. I got a nervous feeling when I first met him. It’s the plain eye hypnotizing stare you mentioned. I had to speak with him inside a room, as we spoke, the hypnotizing stare became more apparent through the conversation, I began to be afraid and nervous. Then, came the tone of voice with the ussual manipulation. As I was about to leave I shook his hand and his expression changed, almost like a switch. He’s a boss of someone I was interviewed by.

I can imagine how such physical pain being inflicted by one of the two people who you fully depend apon, would severely damage your view of the world, at a deep, and unchangeable level.
I can imagine the brain might shut down all sense of feeling, and empathy to cope with the horror - and that this may never be developed later in life.

A psychiatrist told me that the difference between a sociopath and a psychopath is that sociopaths are impulsive and psychopaths are not impulsive but are very coldblooded. Só If you are dealing with a person with ASPD and you deal with a person who doesn't lose their cool and has a high tolerance for frustration you have a psychopath, they have limited spectrum of emotions and are missing empathy entirely unlike sociopaths . Also in addition to brain abnormalities they need to have a social factor for a full blow psychopathy. If a social factor is missing , for eg., person with a psychopath brain comes from a good family, they aren't yet developed into a psychopath. So you need both brain and a social factor. Also there is difference between high functional psychopaths that do not have problems with the law and low functional psychopaths who tend to commit crimes. There are also forms of heavy psychopathy with sadistic elements. These people in the vid have that sadistic elements present.

I don't really care about anyone except myself...so I just act like I care about the people that I'm supposed to care about.... but I can relate to very quiet introverts and sociopaths... and ambiverts....The one thing I can say is that no matter how we are...we don't always choose to be that way... either life makes us that way or we're born that...on some occasions or actions make is that way too...So it's better to try to understand people before thinking about how you want to punish them

they are incapable to feel love or empathy or fear. incapable. that's the word. yes they are dangerous , but at the end , they didnt choose to be born like that ,they didnt choose to not have feelings for others.
for them slapping someone on the face is equivalent to killing someone, they would feel the same. nothing.
they also can respect someone , someone who would be "useful" in their lives , so that someone take an importance , also they feel lonely , they care a lot to be surrounded by ppl , so in most cases ,they will try to not appear as psychopaths ,and even some try to have a partner and have a stable life.
seeing others as just objects , and the un-realism of their world makes the world for them like a game.they only seek fun . the momentary instant one.. like having sex, drinking alcohol ,playing with ppl ..etc
in gta we kill all innocent ppl and steal and also kill police without any empathy or care ,why?
bcz they are just objects to us. so real life for them is like GTA for us.
and i think they are valuable if they got good attention , someone who have no feelings are more cabable to do the job ,they should be used . like make an announcement "a job with a very high payment , the only condition is to be a psychopaths" also they can do the hard jobs we cant do . like doing dangerous very scary things, as they can't feel fear ,it's nothing for them .
they are also not good with language, that's why they keep stuttering and sometimes say meaningless sentenses , they dont understand emotions or words ,and their way of talking is always emotionless , saying "i am happy " will be said in same tone as "i am depressed" . they just observe "how normal humans act and what they like/love" and then act depending on these info ,copying use of words and behavior.

I am unfortunate enough to have had 2 close friends turn out to be psychopaths/sociopaths. When you get close to them its very apparent that they have no true feeling about you one way or the other. And quite often when they are angry or drunk they will say/do some pretty disturbing stuff. You also never feel 100% relaxed around them. The lack of empathy is scary .. they will literally do anything if pushed.
The two that I knew also both had this kind of piercing glare. Like they are looking straight through you, and the most obvious trait: Nothing phases them... Blood & gore on TV, horror films, you name it... they wont batter an eyelid. You tell a horrifying story to a normal person they will react with drama. A psychopath will just stare at you with a blank face and will not be phased.. Sometimes with new people they will pretend to be phased .. but not with people they are "close" to.
