I saw this trailer in theaters when I saw dune. The entire thing was completely silent, but I thought it was intentional. Turns out we had an audio issue in the theatre, but it was honestly so powerful

Story telling is different than originality. There isn't an original (novel) idea or concept on display here. That is we have seen it all before. The only question is - once we set aside our disbelief in the ludicrous plot - is how well they tell the story. We have seen this setup over and over. I would point out that the reason "Jaws" and "Alien" and "Predator' were so successful was because of the very fact that the monsters were barely seen in most of the movie. This made the horror and suspense all the greater. Now consider the extended Jaws and Aliens franchises, and what bad movies they produiced. When your monster is not only revealed, but becomes major star in the films, their suspense value is eliminated and all you have to rely on is script and filmmaking: something modern Hollywood is virtually incapable of doing well. @@Logypoo

I love how the first movie was so small in budget and scale, but made so much money and had a great story that now, John and his team have been able to create huge blockbuster-like sequels [and prequels]. Can't wait to see this in theaters and keeping quiet like a church mouse when the silent parts happen!

This isn't Krasinski's movie, this is Michael Sarnoski, who wrote and directed it. Krasinski's strong PR during promotion misled people to think he was the creator of A Quiet Place. He wasn't, Scot Beck and Bryan Woods created it, and the producers and Paramount bought their script. They were initially going to direct it too, but after Krasinski came on board he directed it.
The screams being turned into music was a great touch!

I want to focus on this part right here.
So, she coughs and alerts the Death Angels, but, with the screen shaking we can say that she attracted a Horde of them. Which is terrifying.
Keep in mind the other two movies we always had 1 Death Angels hunting down our characters at a time, with the occasional 2. But this time its potentially Hundreds if not Thousands of them, and that, is horrifying.
A single cough pulled a horde...then think how many pregnant women are gonna suffer like Emily did.
Some pregnant women better be lucky to keep silent and quiet on the day they give birth. But sadly, others are not so lucky.
My best guess is that as time went on & the world became a quiet place the Death Angels spread out so there were very few together when we see the Abbott Family.

What people have said to me is that he's a psychopath who turns on a smile and is a great guy when anyone famous is around, but that he's incredibly emotionally abusive to crew, is manipulative, and that he asks too much of them, and that he becomes furious and pushes stunt people to violate security rules and endanger themselves. I've heard two different people say that they've met plenty of bad people in the business, but that he is by far the worst.

I don't know if this is true for all cats but I know that when my cat is scared it stays quiet. Anytime we are in unfamiliar places traveling she stays silent. She only makes noises when comfortable at home. Still... I know at some point it will make noise and that makes me so sad already.
