take, this was my first osborne brothers/red allen album. listening to it still sends cold chills up and down my spine. how can anyone listen to this and not love bluegrass music? this is one of, if not my favorite bluegrass album. the song selection, instruments and especially the close three part harmony was just perfect for me back then and i guess it still is. what a great album!! the woman in the green sweater peeling apples looks just like my mother. it looks like they are getting ready to make apple butter. that sure brings back some good ole memories. lots of work but lots of fellowship and fun!! wonderful, wonderful memories. thanks take.

And Red Allen got no credit for this 3 part harmony that they developed on that weak Ken Burns country series, they gave it to someone else. What an oversight.

Tried to make a good digital copy of my LP but never succeeded. One of the greatest bluegrass albums of all time and, now , now got it, can frame the album and put it on the wall. Thanks you very much!!!

Sonny and Bobby must have been extremely young when they recorded this album, i met them around 2000 give or take a year or two, I met all the living bluegrass legends, no one would say how old Ralph Stanley was, including Ralph, anyways somebody said he has been 97 for years . followed by a lot of laughter, anyways Sonny and Bobby did not seem very old back then
