oh no wrong ep! 🤣🤣🤣🤦♀🤦♀🤦♀ i'd recommend going back to ep 4 then watching 5 again to get the context. Plus a huge part of Izzy's story is in ep 4, and Stede and Ed's reconciliation in ep 4 makes the kiss at the end of ep 5 make more sense!
I really love Black Pete's growth as a character. "Does that make us horrible people?" isn't a question he'd have asked in the pilot. And he's able to be a grounded, vulnerable, get-a-grip friend and partner for Lucius. (And a couple episodes ago he admitted that he didn't know how to use the zip line anchoring thing, which he never would have done in season 1.) He's been slowly unlearning toxic masculinity all along, and it's so cool. And the proposal scene's heartwarming.
I adore the last scene of this, and also the fishing trip between Fang and Ed. Ed has had a lot of crappy father figures in his life, and it's a treat to see him interact with an older guy who can gently call him on his nonsense, tell him what it's been like to work with him, elicit a genuine apology, and be supportive.
Oh, I'm so sad for you! Episode 4 gives so much context! I second the comments saying you should watch this one again after 4. It'll make a lot more sense

This is Episode 5. S2.Ep4 is called fun & games, which takes place after Ed wakes up & the end reveals what happened to Buttons.
