  • I made this video in June 2018 but didn't make it public until Jan 2020. Not sure why. Just me messing around with a 2013 Sherco 3.0 ST for the first time.

I had a TY175 back in the 80s and the clutch used to stick on that. I forgot all about that until I saw what you did 😂

We did the exact same thing when we bought are 2014 first time my son jumped on and clicked into gear he went for a ride lol . Now I warm it up a bit on the stand and play with the clutch and shift in and out of gear it works every time there fun bikes and can do amazing things. Watch Pat Smage videos lots of how too and riding tips it helps to watch a 11 time national champion also

Had 3 off these and the clutch on all 3 of them stuck when you first started them up. They soon release up. Just ride it with clutch pulled in till it works or just put front wheel against a wall then put it into gear. The clutch sticking really is very very common and normal to be honest, nothing to worry about

I want to do this too. I have a ohv park 10 min away with trials stuff. The clutch reminds me of old Yamaha clutches from the 70's-early 80's. The plates would get stuck together if they sat for a while and you had to ride around with no clutch for a few minutes till the oil got flowing again around the plates

I came nowhere was in triple figures the winner for the whole six days had 16 points

Clutch loves to drag on my Gas Gas. I always push it a little before going into gear when it's cold, so what happened to you doesn't happen.

before you start the bike put it into 3rd or 4th gear....clutch in & rock forwards & back to release. Start bike up, let it get hot and pump the clutch a bit before putting into gear. Always expect it to pull away when first started.

Please have the kill switch on your waist at all times ,it will save you and you bike . I also noticed both levers are facing down to much about 10 to 15 degrees down for bar grips. Your
balance is real good first up . Enjoy the ride keep practicing but on dirt not tar.

The clutch plates on my first Sherco (I've had 6) would stick like yours. When the plates broke free, the clutch worked great. Every weekend was the same, until I changed to a synthetic oil. I put 30w Royal Purple oil in the trans and the problem was solved. That was 19 years ago, and I still use Royal Purple. Mobil One would work, both are great oils. I hope you enjoy the sport as you have good balance.
