I'd buy the utility version and upgrade it with a couple of bolt ons and a tune.
That black on black Glc63s 🔥🔥🔥
great episode
Just ordered a 21 GLC 63 SUV, most likely one of the last V8 GLC's coming to this country, and to solve the "underpowered" situation, going to upgrade it thru Renntech, and bringing the power up to a very cool 600hp. Problem solved. :)
What, I will choose you are asking? ...So well, I will say it that way - the small one (with 2 liter and kind of hybrid) engine is the most practical, logical even social and reliable choice. But... c'moon, there's no much place for the logic when "dreaming". Full body (not the coupe version) 63S it will be.
Anyway, thanks for the nice, informative and interesting rewiev. As always. And again. It's a real pleasure watching every episede.
Cheers!
Ah...Good ol Kumo...I can see by the camera shake that this particular SUV is riding a bit stiff? The evolution of the "modern" sports sedan continues.
MotoMan, just a heads up (and friendly advice from a German) that "Bist du vertig?" means something more akin to "Are you finished?"
What you really want to say is, "Bist du bereit?" (Are you ready?)
Love the videos - big fan!
I'm interested in seeing a review once the GLB is out.
I believe I saw the following numbers: GLC represents 42% sales from all its SUV models; 22% from all MB sales in general. So, it became number one model for Mercedes and for this reason I wish they would give more options for customization...
Welcome back, Kumo!
Holy meat balls! 84k???!!! The new X6 M50i with a 530hp & 553 ib-ft V8 starts at 85k!
Nope, not a problem at all. Its not like you'll get a 3rd row with the traditional GLC.
As always, excellent work M!
I would take the glc53 if it is available , with E-active body control. So i can race on the track and off road very good, and enjoy the epic sound of the inline 6 and the MCT gear
Great in concept but would as much if not more than this car. I think that is why it is not on offer.
I have owned a GLA45 AMG for the past 2 years. If I was to go with something bigger I think the GLC 63S coupe. Once you drive an full AMG there is a great appreciation for the engine and just the way it sounds and handles.
"Bist du fertig? Ich auch." ("Are you ready? Me too")
I think "Bist du bereit? Ich auch." fits better. :-)
The problem is the coupe looks like a hunchback turtle thing. I'd take the HP hit to own a normal looking vehicle
Sqaure suv, full fat AMG63, designo black interior, full distronic, rentech tune 0-60 3.2 sec. It would be my daily
this guy is the american version of matt from carwow
The GLC63S sedan and coupe in Australia is selling basically new for well below retail
@@MotoManTV it's very interesting, the sedan goes for starting $181k new, however you can get a demo used one with under 3100km for $132k, so thats around 28% saving before negotiating
I just drove the standard SUV shape GLC63S (Canada gets the “S” for that shape) and compared to my F-Pace SVR, the GLC handled like it was on rails and felt just like I was in my 2017 C63S. The interior was a bit dull and aged compared to my SVR but it felt much more track focused (if you can say that about a 4500 lb SUV) than my Jag. Unfortunately the AMG exhaust in its loudest setting was still like a mouse clearing its throat compared to the SVR’s demonic exhaust note with the cracks and pops
@@CapnT87 Got u. That's why i was confused to why u said the interior was dated when the facelift gets the MBUX. What an awesome machine tho.
Perfect car for me but the normal one not the coupe. Not too big not too small. Also perfect for the city. Pickup your kids or race a car next light 😅
The one thing that obsoletes this car already is the interior dash and old screen setup. The new GLE is like the S,E,C & A CLASS. It Looks much better...i always hated the middle screen that wouldn't fold away.
Nice drivetrain with leftover interior from the past. For 84k, it should have the new MB infotainment.
Gimme the coupe back hybrid. I'm a single dude so I don't care about the back seat comfort. Most of my trips are less than 30mi round trip here in Chicago.
The wonder and the fun of the full fat AMG SUV is that you DO get both the utility, and the sound / performance, in one vehicle. By forcing buyers to get the compromised coupe.... you may has well just get an AMG sedan. Not a fan of this decision by Mercedes....
The suv version does 0-60 just as fast if not faster than the coupe with 503 horse power.
The fact that in 2020 we cant get the S version in the SUV is obviously a marketing ploy to force people in the US towards the less desirable coupe. It forces us towards aftermarket upgrades which is plain stupid. Now I see that the S version will now be available in 2022. It will take me a while to forgive MB for this.
I am interested in seeing those beauties you were showing off there.
Would be better no turbo 😒
An exhaust and this thing would sound disgusting
Uninspiring interiors... exteriors of d coupe r good... engineering, speed and handling mediocre... x3 m and x4m people say r better cars...
And no rear wiper blade... lame. That's lazy design/engineering and silly cost-saving, not that anyone buying thos car would care about cost.
MB's nesting doll approach is getting old and it doesn't differentiate the products enough.
Cool vehicle though. I'm sure it would be a fun daily driver. 😊
@@m.h.3679 -- for the same reasons you need one on the front. You clearly haven't driven a car with a slanted rear glass in heavy rain and, even worse, snow. I have, and it's not fun. I have also had a hatchback **WITH** a wiper blade and it makes a hell of a difference. Since then, not having a rear wiper blade on a slanted rear glass has been a deal breaker **for me.**
The lack of the “S” engine with the traditional body style is an issue for those of us who don’t love the coupe
the traditional body style is more attractive to me. Coupe version is meh
I completely agree!! I would love a straight answer from Mercedes. Of all places, the SUV S version should be available in the US. It just forces us, in the US, to purchase an after market software tune which we all know is all the S version is. (Oh I know there are adjustable motor mounts but really! Would gladly pay the miniscule difference for those and the tune) Sounds to me like a marketing ploy to sell the coupe in the US because it is meh looking compared to the SUV.
