JSO Tentative Contract Signing 6.25.24

Sheriff T.K. Waters was joined today by Mayor Donna Deegan at the Police Memorial Building as she signed the tentative contract negotiations agreement between the City of Jacksonville and the Fraternal Order of Police, Lodge 5-30.
The members of JSO want to thank everyone involved for their hard work and diligence in keeping the course to increase benefits and pay for current officers, along with the City's commitment to bring a state pension plan into the fold in the future for JSO officers.
Sheriff Waters, pleased with the tentative agreement, said, "With these favorable salary increases and future pension benefits, JSO will now be competitive with comparable jurisdictions. Our agency will be able to recruit the best and brightest, not only from our city but also from across the State".
