this move was so strange but I loved it anyway
Then again, it IS a Bunel movie, so strangeness is to be expected.
I mean it's not a Luis Buñuel movie if it's not strange and surreal.
An absolute masterpiece and Stephanie Audran !
One of the best films anyway ...
Fabulous movie. Delicate satire. Different ways to interpret many scenes in the movie -as we tend to interpret things in life differently ourselves -depending upon mood even. It is not straitforward. This movie has its charme, as actually bourgeoisie itself?-otherwise so many won't be aspiring to be part of it? Despite periodically shooting all of those "parasites "?? And despite telling them there is no tea in a cafe left? This bourgeois think ordinary people won't notice the difference in between an evening dress and a delicate peignoir? What do they do? Cheat with each other, take drugs, and look at all snobbish? While they are transparent -and people look at them as at actors , playing shows? // I've just realized how angry was the director on bourgeois. Although his humor is discrete (I tend to think in a different way from tbe critics here), and, mostly, targeted to be fully understood by bourgeois itself or by highly intelligent people?
Just bought three of Buñuels films, I'm looking most forward to this film!
So how did you like that movie , The Discreet Charm of The Bourgeois ... I saw it years ago and liked it .
@@gardensofthegods It's very weird, but I really loved it! It's really funny, but also kinda morbid and dark, which is like my jam
What were the other two? Liked them? I've only seen this one.
The movie responsible for one of the best lines in Whit Stillman's Metropolitan: "The Discreet Charm of the Bourgeoisie: When I heard that title, I thought finally someone was going to tell the truth about the bourgeoisie. It would be hard to imagine a less fair and accurate portrait..."
You're right out of the movie!
love Luis Bunuel love this film.
Favorite movie
This was my first surrealist film, I'm definitely gonna have to revisit
Stephens Sondheims last musical he ever wrote is based off of this film I’m seeing it today, come check it out!! so nervous yet i’ve never been more excited
I'm glad I saw this video AFTER I saw the movie. Wtf is up with these spoilers?

Filmstruck
I loved Exterminating Angel! Horses for courses.
movie gave me a migraine..
The Exterminating Angel is truly something else
If you don't get that this is a surrealist film you miss the point.
You're a genius.
@@unlokia Sorry, obviously someone of culture and intellect wouldn't require such a tip.
@@Aspitulio you’re not intelligent for realizing that an obviously surrealist film is surrealist lmao
@@Perfecthairforever_ This is like one of the textbook surrealist films you'd learn about in first year film school too.
Check out my The Discreet Charm of the Bourgeoisie review on my channel!
I would like to make a - MAGICAL HISTORY TOUR
EPIC MOVIE
Buñuel es Dios
Back then, when the rich and famous behaved normal... not like today.
America in the 2020's.
This movie is either a masterpiece or a money laundering device
well thanks for spoiling a film as you recommend it...
the narrative structurre of this film makes it "unspoilable" since there is not much of it
I'm sorry but this was the most boring movie I've seen my whole life.
It's for intelligent people, go back to Rambo
@@pistachoone1958 A satire done in this style is, ironically, too stiff and confusing for most proletariat people to enjoy.
Good movie but the clothes are so ugly.
We really need some "arty" educated type mansplaining a film to us, eh? Nope. I think anyone on this endeavour, is savvy enough to be able to work it out... but thanks. 👏
hahahha Pity Don Luis is not around anymore, he surely would take inspiration for movies from comments like this one.
Mansplaining... i cant believe my eyes
