This video was so nice to see, we moved out here to lake mary from NYC a yr ago.
I’m in nyc and trying to move to lake Mary. How is diversity there I’m Hispanic
I Love Lake Mary❤
My husband used to lived in lake mary but I’m from Maryland so when we got married I told him we staying in MD . He don’t like MD and after so many years (12 years) I’m finally listening to him and we are moving to that area (lake mary) I wasn’t sure about lake mary but after seeing this video I’m definitely moving lol thank you so much for making this video 😊
Aww I’m so glad we made you feel better about the move! But yes, we love it! And j was uneasy about the Orlando area when my husband mentioned wanting to move here, but I see now it was definitely worth it! And if y’all need church recommendations, let me know!
I don't know much about Florida, but my sister just moved from an Orlando area to Deltona after being born and raised in the midwest. I've been a few times and for some reason wawa is my favorite place to get food. I agree with the cons. My sisters tell me all the time about how they drive there. I'm used to Minnesota life. They are trying to get my parents and I to flee our Midwest life to that area. But I don't drive and I depend on the bus. So I know about the lack of transportation. ☺️😂
Good news, though, Orlando has plans to expand their train system, so I’m excited for that because I, too, like public transportation when it’s available! Don’t know the timeline on it, though.
😂😂😂 i been living here for 23yrs in Deltona and the red light honking is so true 😂😂😂 it gets me annoyed 😒 all the time. But you get use to it lol
Came there to visit JESUS Image Church!!
Jesus Image is in Lake Mary?
Surprised the price of housing wasn’t mentioned. Seems expensive to me.
Oh man! I’m sorry. I thought we mentioned that. Yeah, Lake Mary is a little more expensive than other northern areas in the Orlando area but still cheaper than the areas closer to the center and some near Disney/the parks as well.
Yes, it is expensive if you compare the prices from 10 to 20 years ago. Lived in a complex apartments with 1 bedroom, 1 bath are extremely crazy in price. From $550 it went to $1,185. Every year it went up approximately $125.00. No washing machine nor dryer was included, needed to be paid. The persons in the office were not so friendly & willing to help.
What is the percentage of African Americans living in Lake Mary?
We thought it would be mostly white, but it’s actually pretty mixed. I think when you get closer to the Heathrow area it’s mostly white, but for the most part, I’d say it’s mixed. But that’s based on what we saw. When I looked up the demographics on census.gov, it says only 10.8% (based on 2022), which is kind of surprising. But it could also be because a lot of the people we saw were coming from nearby areas like Sanford, Longwood, or Altamonte.
Very low, Lake Mary is white. Sanford is where you’ll find your sistas
No bookstores neither any Christian bookstores, the only mall nearby is almost dead, all has been turned into hospitals & doctor's offices, too may business offices, there are golf clubs which I dont like at all, no pieces of land to build houses, no pet shops, etc. It has change a lot in 20 years which I have been living here. Is not as it use to be.
