for people who wanna do it solo: join a public lobby with at least 1 person then back out, then you can just replace joining a friend with joining someone from the lobby you joined

To get the timing right. Count how much time it takes for you to join normally. Then click customs a millisecond before.

For everyone wondering if it works to date, i just did it. I have a extra playstation and with that playstation i sat in a dead lobby. With my main playstation i did the glitch. After a few tries i got lucky and i did it. Rn finishing the grind for dark matter.

New way your can get a dummy account and connect that instead of having a friend but when you hit the glitch you cant connect it so when you click multiplayer sign in your second controller and keep killing that

When do you have to press custom game straight away or just before you are about to go in his lobby
renter custom games right before it joins, a tip for this is to watch the number in the top right of your screen, and when they change it mean your joining, once they change go into custom games immediately.

bro your friend can’t use the map he’s on, he must of loaded the game into a map with a map you don’t have. once your friends is in a game make sure to ask him what map he got and make sure it’s not a dlc map
