Yea.. Ha... Actually two running to get the 3rd on the trailer.. Ha... But, there is always someone around interested in helping in a well thought out project.. :) Honestly, it was easy, but, I was surprised at how heavy the thing was to pull it up on there.. I had to put it in 4wd low and put some pressure on it.. Not sure how else you could do it.. Unless you figured a winch into the deal, which I have, but, not to mount on the uhaul.. Ha.. I have one mounted on a 3.5" Square tube stud that I can move around on a trailer with 4" square pockets.. Something I build to move a 3,000 lb injection mould I had to move without a forklift... Even had to build a metal skid I could drag down a gravel alley to the trailer.. Long Story!! Ha... Always getting these crazy projects they say can't be done.. Ha..Ha..

@@MarkThomas123 Know what ? I figgered it out. I’m going to buy A SPEED MOUNT WINCH adapter, Mount a $98.00 Home Depot 2,000 # Winch - Champion Brand to the Winch adapter. Then bolt the Winch adapter to an ELONGATED DROP HITCH. This way, the Car Trailer in on the 2” ball, the winch is safely mounted on the elongated drop hitch’. PROLLEM SAWLL’ D

so as u pulled the tahoe forward did the strap rub up against the pickup bed?

    • @MarkThomas123
      @MarkThomas123 Před rokem +2

No. I had enough room. I did have to turn Hard Right for about 3 feet, then back hard left to move over a bit though. I still had a good 2 feet of clearance between the strap and R-Rear of the 2500 Pickup. I figured it would pull up easier than it did though. Getting the back wheels of the Acadia up on the Uhaul bed over the ramp, had me stop and put the Tahoe in 4wd. Back wheels spun over, so, I stopped, put it in 4wd Low and it pulled up nicely, but, I was surprised at the resistance. Those Car Haulers are Really Nice Trailers. The Balance was perfect, and the Hydraulic assist Break system, and the flip down driver side fenders they have are really slick.. Someone should have gotten a nice jelly bean for that design.. Ha.. I asked the gal at the Rental shop if they ever sold any of them. She said Nope! Shame! Probably an Insurance issue on the design. They actually bolt significant portions of the trailer together. I figured to replace parts people tear up who don't know what they are doing.. If I ever built one, I would most likely build it close to their design. Only problem I can see with the brake system would be backing the trailer "UP" a hill. I would probably have a pin I could put in the Tongue setup if I ever had to. It could surely present a problem.. Ha.. I'm surprised they didn't have anything in the design, even if, they didn't share it with the Renters...
If I ever have to load a non-runner like that again, I'll see what I can do to get the car being pulled up a slight incline and then onto the trailer.
Getting it off was an issue also. I backed up to a telephone pole, and pulled the trailer forward enough to get the car past/over the rod under the front wheel that holds the back ends of the wheel straps. Once I got it that far, I was able to let it roll down, and then pull the trailer ahead another 6 inches or so to get it totally free.. So, keep getting it "Off" the trailer in mind if you ever use one. It's an issue too with a car of any significant weight. Even with 16" wheels..
      Cheers!

You get the picture. I was in the Tahoe. Kind of hard to video when driving away.
For me, the point was getting it on the trailer. I shared the video, so people could see how I did it.
If you noticed how I did it, you should have Also noticed it could be done without the truck hooked up to the trailer, Using a pair of chocks.
I had to try to figure out how to do it by looking at online u haul pictures...
Watch the video again and try to use logic and reason and physics .
Because, This is not a project to do if someone needs to hold your hand.
That project is to show you some possible things to use and some ideas.

Are you trying to say that seeing what was necessary to pull a car up on a trailer using a second vehicle, using a strap and a Quick Link or "Connecting Link" was not descriptive enough?
That you needed to actually see the slow process of actually pulling the vehicle to see how it was actually done?
Use your imagination.. Everything else needed was in clear view in the video.
All I did was pull forward, which pulled the towed vehicle forward and then stopped..
Did you think I did something else sneaky off film?
Just in case,, it took 2 people.. One in the Blue Tahoe and one in the towed vehicle getting pulled up. I didn't flag anyone down on the highway to video that part..
BUT,, at least you should know how the Strap situation works, and, that is the most important thing...
But, you might consider doing something else other than what I did to be safe, since you feel like what you saw was "No Help at all"..
It could be dangerous for you. Personally, I felt like there was zero danger, but, that video would have been enough for me to begin with..
Kind of like using a table saw without a riving knife and every other Safety attachment.. Didn't use them for 60+ years, why should I bother with using them now.. But, I would highly recommend "You" use them all..

BTW... What is your CZcams Channel and what Free Contributions have you made to the CZcams Community to help others who help you? Just wondering..
I don't see where you have uploaded anything!! But, you still complain?
I see you didn't waste your time, showing someone EXACTLY what to do and how to do it, only to have someone complain about it..
Get the trailer and see if you can figure out how to do it yourself.. When you do, and you see what the problem is, since you have trouble imagining it,,, when you do, you can refer back to the video and see exactly what I did that you can also do to make it easy to load up what you want to load up...
I wish CZcams would force people to upload content to be able to see content here on YT.. It would reduce "keyboard driver errors"like are above. Maybe you could put something up about the Clinton Global Initiative, or, maybe something about how Radical Islam is a Religion of Peace..
Maybe quote some of the verses in the Koran that tell you not to even associate with people like me, and to c-u-t my head o-f-f.
Let me know if you don't know the verses, I'll send them to you..
I wasn't surprised to see your Subscribe list.. It just goes to show.
The Fox News Tampa did seem to be out of the ordinary for someone subscribed to the Clintons Initiative..
BTW.. What does Jihad mean again??
Talk about wasting my time!! But, I type with all 10 fingers, so, well worth the comment..
