Last year Vijay Sardesai said some issues on illegal gambling (Matka) which was reported in the Newspaper and the MLA of Santa Cruz had sought for expunge his words from the assembly.

It was wrong on CM Sawant's part to ask the MLAs to bring to his notice the small time Casinos. If he had sense he should order his police force to see to it that there is no Casino operating in their jurisdiction. Then if any MLA brings to his notice a Casino he should suspend the police Inspector.
Thanks Vijay Sir Desai and other MLA for getting these valid points and making CM aware. It's really strange that CM does not what's going on in his small state of Goa. 😢😢😢

Police/Home Dept. eagerly take up cases of cheating / fraud in the gambling house that affect their financial interest, but refuse to record FIR in case of forgery and fraud in housing society that affect the members.

Why actually Goa needs these Casinos? What is the benefit for the Goans? Moreover, it is promoting wrong activities in Goa. Our youth is misdirected into gamblung etc thus spoiling the innocent lives of our youth, instead of providing proper training facilities and jobs. Where is accountability for the revenues earned and where is this revenue utilised? We still remember that MLA called Babush promised that all Casinos will be closed. Where is he now? Where is his promise? Probably he is hand in glove with the Casino Owners alongwith other BJP members. We Goans don't need these evil activities in Goa. Shut down these Casinos for the good of Goa and our Goan Youth. Don't look at your pockets first, think about the welfare of the Goans. Actually, we don't even need so many ministers. What good has this government done for Goa and the Goans?

Casinos are a strain on the infrastructure of Goa like water, sewage, garbage, electricity, traffic, pollution by illegal wastage. These casinos are supposed to out and sail from the Mandovi river and not to be anchored in the Mandovi river.
There are chances of having prostitution, bad elements, like drugs.
