    Thank you for showing the tension adjustment for the sequential mode, no one else has, now I will buy!

    Simagic is the best value brand of sim gear in Canada. All of their stuff is substantially cheaper and better than the comparative fanatec gear. This shifter is the only exception it seems…

    • @Rezamajedi
      @Rezamajedi Před měsícem

      So you say this simagic shifter is cheaper than fanatec shifter?

    • @alecmillea4539
      @alecmillea4539 Před měsícem

      @@Rezamajedi lol no exactly the opposite. I said everything simagic sells in Canada *except* this shifter is better value than the fanatic equivalent.

  • @Maltinis
    @Maltinis Před 9 měsíci +5

    In my opinion way to expensive but i really like the "stopper" for reverse. Btw when are you planing on releasing that load cell handbrake review? 😊

    • @SimRacingCorner
      @SimRacingCorner  Před 9 měsíci +3

      Sorry for the delay on that one. I'm currently working through my Cammus C5 review, the handbrake will be is next on the list. I'll get there in the end.

    • @ptcarino
      @ptcarino Před 9 měsíci +1

      where i live, this shifter and the fanatec one are on the same price range. so yeah, they're both expensive.
      i went with the DS-8X because it has a smaller footprint. fits perfectly well on my NLR Wheel Stand 2.0 alongside my MOZA handbrake.
      EDIT:
      when i say they're both on the same price range, i meant they're both around $360

    • @IamAW
      @IamAW Před 6 měsíci

      It's pretty cheap actually, depending on how you look at it. It's comparable to the Quaife shifter if you consider the price of both, and the performance (the Quaife is 1200+).

  • @Broodjemetbeleg
    @Broodjemetbeleg Před 9 měsíci +1

    Hopefully you'll compare it to other shifters in your full review. Like the moza, shh, fanatec.

  • @IamAW
    @IamAW Před 6 měsíci

    I expected a tear down, but great review, this is the first video I've seen mentioning the fact that you can tighten it. The Ali Express shifter have served me beyond well, but I'm looking to get an aluminium profile cockpit and upgrade my shifter etc. I got the Next Level Racing F-GT or whatever, do not recommend, overpriced garbage, quite frankly.

  • @vanishingpointracing.2199
    @vanishingpointracing.2199 Před 9 měsíci

    Great video as always 👍🏻👍🏻.
    I like the look of this shifter and almost got one. But I decided on a,simagic Q1s sequential instead . That thing is superb. A bit loud but has a great feel to it.

    • @SimRacingCorner
      @SimRacingCorner  Před 9 měsíci

      Thanks. The Simagic dedicated sequential shifters looks really solid, I do like the look of those too. I'm currently liking the idea of the combo shifter for convenience of reducing clutter, over dealing with separate shifters and also working a handbrake into the cluster.

    • @vanishingpointracing.2199
      @vanishingpointracing.2199 Před 9 měsíci

      Yeah the combos are defiantly a very attractive option. Like you say they are great for saving space on the rig. It would be interesting to hear your thoughts. On either of the Simagic seq’s. There are very few videos on CZcams. 👍🏻

      Just one other thing. I got a Moza R9 V2 a few days ago. On the front of the base. There are threaded holes. 1 in each corner. It looks like it can be front mounted. In the manual there is no mention of the holes or front mounting. I can not seam to find anything on line either. Was just wondering if you have come across this before. 👍🏻

    • @SimRacingCorner
      @SimRacingCorner  Před 9 měsíci

      I think what you have is a new feature they've just added for that exact purpose, for front mounting. I guess they decided not to not reprint the manual. Moza are known to tweak existing hardware, so it's just an update to the existing V2.

    Hi @SimRacingCorner. Great video, as always. Please could you show the shifter knob screwing on and off? I'd love to know how long the thread is, and if my truck shifter will go on and off easy enough. Thanks

    How's the neutral feel? It looks kind of springy from the video. Does the lever have any side to side movement when you're in gear also? Would a bass shaker make it rattle?

    Nice piece of kit.
    Im still waiting on a sequential shifter from Moza to finish my setup.
    (R9 cs/gs wheels- crp pedals- h shifter and handbrake.)
    What you think of upgrading my r9 to the r21? Ive sat on fence for a while tbh.

    • @SimRacingCorner
      @SimRacingCorner  Před 9 měsíci +1

      I know that dilemma, until you've tried other hardware, there's no way to know if you're missing out or not. I guess the thing to ask yourself is, if you're thinking about upgrading, why do you feel the R9 is not giving everything you need right now?

    • @steam-SMOKEY
      @steam-SMOKEY Před 9 měsíci

      @SimRacingCorner yeah I feel its abit weak. When I pump the ffb up within iracing to where I feel comfortable, I get a lot of clipping on heavy loads.
      AC and WRC feel fine. Is this because I'm not focusing on graphs like in iracing lol.. what a dilemma 😅

    • @SimRacingCorner
      @SimRacingCorner  Před 9 měsíci +1

      That's fair considerations. The R21 is definitely going to be above and beyond any necessity anybody will need. On the positive, that means you won't want for more ever. But at the same time, you're paying extra for something that is above and beyond necessity. Past a certain point of torque, I do feel it's completely not worth it for the return. My Leo Bodnar at 16nm is crazy powerful, even that is kind of bonkers at times. Personally, 15-16nm of torque is as much as I'd consider worth paying for.

    • @steam-SMOKEY
      @steam-SMOKEY Před 9 měsíci

      @SimRacingCorner your a gent, I'll look into the r16. I do recall you or another respected YT channel saying something like having to only use 70-80% power due to how strong the ffb is.
      You might have just saved me afew hundred quid.
      Cheers mate 👍
      If I read right, the r16/21 v2 is not compatible with v1 versions of wheels. My GS is a v2, but my CS is not. It's a weird move from moza imo.

    • @SimRacingCorner
      @SimRacingCorner  Před 9 měsíci

      No worries. I can only imagine that these extreme high torque wheelbases exist because brands are competing against one another, so it comes down to an arms race for the sake of it, rather than practical benefits for the end user.
      My CS is a V1, also, and my CS works on the R12. The R12 has the same pattern layout of the gold pads on the steering column as the current R16 and R21. You'll be fine. Also, on the Moza store page on any wheel landing page, scroll down and click on COMPATIBILITY, it shows a list of all the wheel models and wheelbases and what works with what.

    i got the cheap aliexpress shifter with magnetic sensor instead of buttons for 20 euro only issue being magnetic is that on sequential mode(with that white plastic thinghy) sometimes it miss shift any idea on how to fix this? it was 50 for this issue i got a partial refound

    • @SimRacingCorner
      @SimRacingCorner  Před 9 měsíci

      If it's using hall sensors, then it will be the location of the magnet not getting close enough to trip the sensor. So you need to see if that's something you can adjust or slightly modify.

      @@SimRacingCorner on the shaft there are 2 magnets i noticed that they arent perfectly straight it coud be that but also sometimes when i touch the shaft i get zapped or even the metal body it could also be that electricity making it go wonky
