Does it matter? If it's good, it's good. What's with the cynicism. Storyblocks website is so much better than Shutterstock. And as a video newbie I thought Shutterstock was the market leader. The UI/UX sucks. The files don't even have filenames after downloading them LOL.

He very clearly states in the video that they're sponsoring the video.
I don't place much confidence into an "honest" review whereby the reviewer has an affiliate link in the description which just screams, "biased review".....

I was SUPER excited to finally find stock footage that was actually quality. I was browsing through all of their clips and EVERY topic that I searched had a very relevant clip. So I decided to take the plunge and sign up for a membership. Well what do you know? All of those clips that I found weren't part of your membership, they cost extra. If you typed in beer for instance you would get 10 clips, and 8 of them were relevant and really good BUT they cost extra. The other two were crappy in comparison. I was INCREDIBLY upset about this as I felt like they straight up pulled a bait and switch on me. I wouldn't recommend their service to anyone, just shoot your own B Roll!

Perfect reply! The same exact thing happened to me. Paid for the subscription and when I went to download the clips I had previewed, they weren't part of the "everything" package. Evidentially "everything" isn't really everything. The similar clips were so terrible I couldn't use them. I contacted support, and they offered me $50 off, I appreciated the gesture, but canceled my subscription.
Did you need to download a certain program to apply that effect or you could do it in any video editor?

I advice to try it first. I had to make a video and I checked it out finding lots of video, but you don't get the most of it, which are available only buying the "single file" on the market place.Also, even the media available with the membership are not all monetizable because not all of them have the creator release, and you have to contact the creator to get it, as written in tos.

When i started using this
my views in youtube decreased considerably !! ( it was 50k dailh views now ig is 20k ). I think bcz it is used by lot people. youtube thinks my contents are not real, so they reduce distribution ( im talking aboug a different channel not the one am commenting with )

Honestly so many red flags in this video already. The fact that he used the cheap 1054 trick at the start to try and get you to watch to the end and the fact that he is sponsored by story blocks is just really shady practice. If anything this has changed my mind from pro to anti-story blocks.
Tempted to 'try' StoryBlocks but I'm seeing a lot of negative comments about people getting CopyRight Strikes on their CZcams Videos (both video content and audio content). Have things gotten any better in the past few months? Anyone have any recent issues using storyblocks? Bottom line is time is money and I don't want to deal with copyright strikes (even if there false).
I have used and re-used clips for more than a year on my videos and had no copy-claims at all, even when I'm not paying a subscription anymore.

Nothing happens. I've been using and re-using the clips I downloaded from Storyblocks 2 years ago in my youtube videos and I have no copyright claim or anything, all videos are monetized and I re-used several of the clips in multiple videos. I haven't had a storyblocks subscription for a year.

Give them your receipt. "Please send us proof of your purchase."
Good luck with that.
Oh and good luck with model release forms they don't provide. Doesn't matter what you pay them. You need permission form every person in the footage or image in a model release form.
Clap Trap hello. i have been struggling about this and couldn't find anyone talking about it clearly until i found your comment! about the model and property release , will i have to worry about it if i am not going to monetize my youtube videos? and what exactly is the yes and no next to (alpha channel) and (editorial)? should i worry about those to also ? knowing that i will not be monetizing. please help me and thank you in advance ❤️
@@woundedwarrior2418 If you're not monetizing I wouldn't worry about it. It's more when you make it big the roaches come out asking for money. "That's my face! You owe me!" etc
Or if they perceive you 'making it big'.

While their music is good a lot of the tracks I used were getting copyright claims against them, the claims were eventually removed but it was a pain having to deal with them in the first place. I've since stopped using their music due to the hassle of getting copyright claims removed. But if you don't mind sorting out false copyright claims (which is usually pretty straight forward) they have a pretty good library of tracks.
I harldy ever find anything on storyblocks that I can use.
Derral's a Hustler!! I'm still waiting for him to do a program on why not a single one of my 48 subscribers never get notified by youtube when I send out a video.....Yet derral doesn't seem to have that problem???
I know loads of people that have paid for the year and been getting copy right strikes...and there response was some of the content from 3rd party’s they use for there content is not royalty free...as I have watch like 25 videos now...so I feel I can’t trust that, I got LumaFusion and it’s incredible but as for story blocks am going to pass I think I work hard on my channel....not as successful as you mind lol but I would not like to lose it over this content in the LumaFusion app...great vid though man
i signed up and they took money from card and i was using for 1 day suddenly i got message subscription has been cancelled when i called them they told there is suspicious activity, they tell your money will be refunded then thy ask me to reactivate account by charging card again, i did it, now they took money twice but they didn't activate my account yet. i think videoblocks is scam, they charge money and cancel subscription without any reason.

I've been a subscriber for 2 years and I've found the service worth the cost. That said, I understand that this is a sponsored video and think it's important to know that the stock video collection is very hit or miss and will not work for everybody. For example, I make videos about Washington DC and there is a lot of local footage to choose from (which makes sense as I understand the company started here) but I recently wanted to make a video about taking a day trip to Baltimore and Richmond and there was almost nothing available for those cities. I definitely suggest searching their archive before subscribing to make sure they have what you need, and make sure the "member library" checkbox is checked, because there is a lot of footage not included in the subscription.
