Love the PB Corky Devil is a favorite of mine here in the middle and lower coast of Texas. It is just a Devil, not Lil’ Devil. A superb lure and glad to see how fast you work the twitches, then pause to let it glide.

Have you ever had problems with Blow fish or Blues biting off the tail? Feel like once the tail comes off, the lure is done. Any thoughts?

I bought a couple Corky Fat Boys and an original but I haven't gotten a bite on them yet. They look pretty good in the water but maybe I'm working them wrong. Jigs and weedless soft plastics are what I mostly use so I'm not very experienced with plugs. Thanks for the lessons! I'll keep trying. I haven't seen those Devils in any local stores but if I do I'll get one.

It’s very important to work them slow and allow time for the lure to slow glide!

There is a copy called The Slick. It doesn't have a treble hook, you add your own jig head to it. They have used it to catch trout along the Mississippi bayous.

Sounds like the Slick is definitely an alternative but I been loyal to PBLs for a longtime and they never let me down

We caught a good share of specks in Sarasota Bay the day after Thanksgiving using the Zman darters (beer run) with a 1/4 Oz head (white). Love this channel!
