You actually want it closer to the truck as possible just like the guy has it in the video. That’s the proper way to load it. If you have the weight on the end it will sway and death wobble or swing out of control
Don’t know why all these people are commenting about the transmission it’s a manual it will not fall out it will not break the only thing that’ll ever happen to it is it will need a new clutch and that’s if they’ve never replaced the clutch with let’s say a South Bend

Trash from the factory but they are very capable. That’s exactly why I make a reliable 650hp 1100lbs of tq out of my 5.9 “tool” I could bump up the power more before I consider going stage 4 trans to.

If he was going through the gears with a real load on, it would be smoking a bit making power. Not all black smoke is for show.

No other way to put it… black smoke means unburnt fuel (which means wasted power). In a ideal situation a diesel making 1000 hp shouldn’t roll any coal if you want to use all the power available, but as you push more power it’s just unavoidable for it not to show at times (when boost is low). In simple terms Increasing power often leads to some black smoke, but increasing the amount of smoke your truck produces does not increase power. So tell me how sending unburnt fuel out of the motor produces power? The more fuel you can burn= more power

It’s not quite a dodge. The engines are made by a separate company called cummins. More of a collaboration if you want to think about it like that. All of dodges pick up diesel models have cummins motors in them, not a motor produced by dodge.
