Keep mine "in" the shelter at all times for two main reasons;
To protect myself even when I sleep and to keep it out of the weather.
Cool content!
Great job on the camera work and editing. Nice to see a rifle incorporated into a bushcraft video. Subbed.
Thanks! I always wondered why people didn't bring rifles into their Bushcraft videos. Safety first! Also thank you for the sub :)
Man I love your gun display ,love the build , most of all I love the entertainment keep it coming
Thank you
Love the vid
You have a lot of potential
Came from Bushcraft Heroes
Keep up the good work😜👍👌🏻
You sure love working that action
It was a new rifle at the time, so I was always screwing around with it breaking it in. Smoothest levergun I've ever used now though! 😎
Is that a Marlin 1895G in caliber 45-70? I have one and carry it or my Remington 870 into the Alberta bush in case of nasty visitors :) Cheers
Close, it's a Marlin 1895CB in .45-70. I love it so far, we seem to have similar tastes though. The other gun I carry is also an Remington 870
That's awesome :) Oh btw what Province are you in, Ontario? I didn't seem to see it posted anywhere. Love your channel and subscribed. Cheers
Hello Iam like you very much , you are great man end very sinpatik , Iam sey hello fron stockholm .
Your videos are beautifully done. The scene set ups are spot on . As far as the not talking, I like the mystery of it. Bushcraft Bear's videos are similarly done.
Thanks! People are really mixed feelings on the not talking thing, but most people like it because It's calming. Bushcraft Bear though! That's a great channel. I found his shortly after uploading my first few videos :)
Very nice i come from Germany and we sag : geiles Teil is da xd
found your channel a while ago, I had commented on you and your Dad video, really appreciated that one. May I ask what cartridge looks like a 45/70 or 444, Thanks!
I remember your comment! The rifles I carry are chambered in .45-70. My father just picked up a Browning built Winchester 1886, so keep your eye out for that in the next video! It is a beautiful rifle
What type and/or modle rifle do you have?
It's a Marlin 1895 Cowboy .45-70 18.5 inch barrel. As far as I know (I'm probably wrong) they stopped making this rifle. There are absolutely none online in all of Canada that are this exact model. I had to bounce around stores and this was the only one left in this short of a barrel in the whole city. I asked a guy in Canadian Tire if he could get more shipped in and he said they aren't even available to them anymore so it's safe to say they aren't being made now :(. If you're looking into getting one I highly recommend it. 6+1 rounds of .45-70 in a super super small package. Perfect brush gun. Also it has an octagonal barrel which is nice considering the Henry's that have them (from what I've seen) are usually SUPER heavy. It's a really classic looking rifle if that's what you're after :)
Late but just discovering your video. Random question but I was wondering where you got that belt?
It's an old miners belt from the early 1900's! Welcome to the channel, I recommend my newer videos 👍
Greetings. :-)
In some ways it’s more natural when you don’t talk. It looks so remote where you are. Interesting video thanks.
Hope you have a serious first aid kit. Everyone who uses these sharp tool should.
You make really nice videos I like it keep on doing it. kent wet for future videos
Cool video! What cartilage is that rifle? What state as well? Here in California we can't carry a gun even in these situations! I do my camping in other states, I don't carry a rifle, i just carry my glock 20 (10mm) with some 200 grain hard cast... the axe you had seemed to be a bit on the heavy side? Who's the maker of it? I liked it size.. i had a hultafors axe but I ended up leaving it in Alaska.. did you take it out the backpack without a sheath on it? Lol
Thanks! The gun is .45-70 Govt. I'm actually Canadian and I'm from the Province of British Columbia. Sadly we can't carry any sort of side arm anywhere but a designated gun range from what I understand, and they're real hard to get, although I'd love one. The axe is 3 1/2 lbs. I have no idea what brand it is though, my boss gave it to me at work and I fixed it up. The only thing it says is "Made in West Germany" on the side. Oh and yes I don't have a sheath for it yet to this day. I haven't gotten around to making one.
Nicholas Wituik awesome man! I liked the video very professional!!! West Germany, it's a good axe then, keep it up!!! 45-70 is no joke, i seen grizzlies dropped by them!
like.
Your work is amazing I wish I had the time to do all the stuff you do!
Will you be able to make a new shelter when you move? Are you moving for a job or collage? (Love the Vids)
It's a long story on why I had to move sadly. But I am going to be trying to make a new camp somewhere. Sadly I now live near a city *throws up* so finding an area away from people that's easily accessible is kind of hard :/
Beautiful rifle. Wish I had one like it. But I am not too fond of your rack that has the rifle exposed. I would have it under some cover in case of sudden rain, etc.
U Should Clean & Service Ur Winnie B4 It Jams Just When U Need It Most...
The rifle in this video is a Marlin! It's always cleaned and ready to go if I were to need it though!
A Chanel gave you a shutout the Chanel is bushcraft heroes
It was never the end of tree house 14
can i move out there with u
Maybe do a collaboration with another youtuber like Joe Robinet or Bushcraft heroes or someone else
I wish! Sadly I'm on the other side of the continent from where Joe is, and Bushcraft Hero's are from the neighbouring province :)
Nicholas Wituik, Does that mean by Nova Scotia at all? I hope one day to go there. It looks beautiful from pictures I have seen.
+John Di Francisco That's quite literally the other side of the continent. I'm from British Columbia, on the west coast. Nova scotia is right on the east coast. :) It's so beautiful there though! I wish I could visit there aswell
Nicholas Wituik, I heard that is beautiful as well. I am from Long Island NY so Nova Scotia always seemed doable, just not done :(
??
i’m a little late but this is so cool. i’d love to camp somewhere in the woods like this. nice video dude!
