Phyllis Chesler wrote about this in the 60's of the former century. But more in the sense that women behaviour is found problematic sooner and they were locked up. Then there is Elaine Showalter also writing on this subject from a historical perspective, I think that was written in the 70's. In the 80's it was about women's health in general bc science denied, and often still does, we have different bodies. We do not come from Adam's rib, if we have a heart condition the symptoms are different e.g. apart from the reproduction organs, hormones etc. Medicines are mostly tested on men, bc of the cycle, so doctors do nit really know what is the effect for women. Etc etc etc.
It is starting slowly to change.
