- Following the tragic events of last year's Astroworld Festival, Nike postponed the latest capsule collection with Travis Scott until this past May when they dropped two colourways of the Air Max 1 and Air Trainer 1 together. Today I'm reviewing both pairs of the Nike Air Trainer 1, which takes the classic 1987 model and gives it a unique flair true to Travis Scott's style. personally i find the air trainers super nice, the grey haze looks super nice but if only they came with a cream colored swoosh, that would make them perfect imo

The shroud is actually meant to be put in the tongue pocket . That’s what the tongue pocket is sized to fit once u fold the shroud using the instructions on the inside of the shroud.
I can’t imagine even being able to fit it inside that zipper at the heel lol.

I wasn’t feeling these tbh. But the grey haze is the best colorway. Who knows they’ll prolly come out with more soon. But ofc bro you make any shoe look good on feet ‼️💪🏽

I'm all for the light chocolate color, I wear darker shoes in general and stains and stuff from accidents shouldn't show as much then on the grey haze ones

QC on my pair was pretty bad but since I got them for retail, can’t really complain
I think the shroud is meant to be kept in the tongue pocket, not the back heel pocket (that's actually where they say to put it on the instructions printed on the shroud). I honestly have no idea what you can put in the back "pocket" because it's so tight. Maybe like a single bill or something but I don't even think I could get a coin in back there.

The back Zipper actually can’t hold anything. It’s a useless mechanism.
The tongue pocket is only one that works. You can hide shroud in it.

Hello! I have inconsistancies between my left and right shoe for panel size in the toe box area as mentionned. Plus stitching issue in the toe box which is a shame (lack of tension)! In addition the shape is horrible (I reshape by myself to have something that looks OK) and the heel is soft as hell due to lack rigid panel inside due to stupid back pocket... I will rock them in any case but quality is clearly not acceptable for a hyped collab'.
Sounds like I needed to go .5 up. Oh well, can sell them if need be.
Hey man.. the zip in the back is not for the skin. There's a zipper along the top of the shoes tongue. Much more room. Thats whats meant to stash the skin

We all know Travis doesn't put the shroud in those pockets. He puts something else to make him high
Personally I would stick to the traditional Air Trainer 1. I own both the Chlorophyll and Photon Dust colourways, and they are just awesome both in design and comfort; with the added benefit of not having to pay the "Hype" Tax and not having to be associated with Travis Scott.
Muc respect. Without the hype these are just meh. I'm sure these would be sitting if not for the hype

It’s not dead, these silhouettes just aren’t as popular/icon, esp in comparison with something like the Air Jordan 1.

I kinda wish the fit wasn't looked at in a casual use feel and rather a true feel in using the shoe for what it's intended for. Cross training 🤷🏻♀️ silly me

Not even a Travis Scott collab can make the Air Trainer a hype shoe. These look pretty poor, especially the reverse swoosh on both pairs.
In a way, I'm thankful. At least I can still buy a pair whenever I want without a silly markup.
I like the chocolate but tbh I get what you mean. There are actually other non collaborative pairs that look much better than these do. I can see why these are so underrated.

All four pairs are unique in their own right but I would have preferred only Nike branding.I was never a fan of that guy so I could care less about his input.
I'm torn because I actually think this whole release has been great looking (especially the weyland yutani rip-off font for the cactus corporation logo) but I don't really wanna buy anything associated with Travis Scott. I've bought yeezys though so maybe I should just swallow my pride and pull the trigger on the trainers.
dude, no disrespect, I love ur reviews, but those pants u wear dont let the sneakers stand out, theyre too baggy, it kills the on-feet portion of the review. I know Im not the only one who thinks this bc I see other comments, just take it into consideration
It’s always a touchy subject when it comes to pants. When I wear joggers or slimmer pants I get people saying that joggers are dead and baggy is in. When I wear baggier pants I say they hide the shoe lol. So basically I just wear what I would wear normally for myself and call it a day ✌️
I WOULD ABSOLUTELY NOT I REPEAT NOT UNZIP THAT HEEL. THERE IS NO REAL POCKET TO FIT ANYTHING AT BUTVA POST IT NOTE. NOT TOO MENTION YOULL NEVER BE ABLE TO FULLY ZIP IT SHUT AFTERWARDS.
if you take a black light over them, its looks like a child glued them. workmanship is terrible on these.
