    ❤ watching this. My crows were waiting for me this morning. I opened my kitchen 🚪 & one of my crows was on the clothes pole above my seed & one of my 🥜 feeders. It was staring right at me, wonderful 😊

    I love when they following me while I riding my bike. I know they enjoy the games and they know it. I've learned them a sign language and they know when I come with the peanuts. I know they understand me when I say "hop" and I show the a bag full of peanuts.

    I enjoyed your video very much. I took care of a baby crow I named Morgan in 1980 and have loved crows ever since. They are so intelligent and have such personality. He was the best fed crow at the top of Old State Rd in Binghamton NY. The other crows from the woods became his friends and rescued him when a hawk had him pinned down by a willow tree. It was 5am . We heard the distress calls and my naked husband jumped out of bed to help our "baby". Morgan survived and that night came back into the house to sleep tucking himself into the corner of the bookshelf. He loved shiny objects and hid them in the chimney. Vielen Dank.

    I'm curious now, does the crow remember how to solve the puzzle? He was sometimes removing the bolts but did not immediately go for the same tray behind it. Leaving me to doubt if he understood the causality between pulling a bolt and then getting a treat from a tray behind it. I would assume that if he learns how to solve the puzzle he would always remove a bolt and then immediately pull the corresponding tray. What do you think? Love to see it!

    • @KrariTheCrow
      @KrariTheCrow  Před rokem +2

      He usually is very systematic. He will remove all the bolts and then open all the drawers. There is always some testing in between to secure a treat. Heraldic most of the time hides the first peaces of food before he opens everything.

      @@KrariTheCrow ooohh ja das fand er super. erst hat er 2stück davon so ein bissle im schnabel kropf hin und her rutschen lassen mit frischem wasser. dann ist er weggeflogen und war innerhalb von 2 minuten wieder da. und hat sein "gesicht" gemacht 😉 . also haben wir den rest rausgelegt und er hat alles gekropft und war weg. aber innerhalb von 1 minute mit ihr wieder da und sie hat sich von ihm sofort damit stopfen lassen. sie trank auch ordentlich wasser dazu. also katzenstange wird hier auch für gut befunden. hoffentlich reißt er nun weniger stare auf dem balkon. das hat er nämlich am sonntag morgen gemacht. gruseliges geschrei des star, aber so ist die natur. und zur brut und astlingszeit ist fleisch wohl ein begehrter energielieferant. 🤩🤩warte nun nur noch ab wie dolle sein gebettelt wird 🤣

    Sorry for being off topic, but I hope you don’t mind being asked for help:
    Since a few months blue tits (birds!) visit my balcony for the provided food.
    One of them has an awfully overgrown beak - both parts (Kreuzschnabel). Luckily he (maybe her) looks fine. I serve him fine oat flax on a flat plate additionally to the common food balls. While the other blue tits prefer the food balls, he goes for the oats. It is probably easier for him to shovel in.
    Even though he seems to do fine, it is obvious, that the overgrown beak bothers him. Of course, taking him to a vet isn’t an option (he isn’t Hand tame).
    My question:
    Is there anything I could provide, that he could abrade his beak by himself?

      The only time I watched my crows threatem a cat (successfully BTW...) was after that cat attacked a young crow (not on purpose; I guess the crow flock was disturbing the cat which hid in a bush hunting sparrows). Usually when they see a cat they just make their alarm calls but do not rally the soldier crows.

    I do not claim that it would be a good idea to support this behaviour... 😄 but crows LOVE violence and destruction. Have you ever put their food in a cardboard box? I once saw a video of a raven which (permanently?) lives in an animal care institution. His christmas present were a dozen cardboard boxes (with treats) which he very happily destroyed. In a minute or so 😆 (but ravens are stronger than crows, of course)
