All money in existence came into realization as debt of the issuer. (this video doesnt really explain that, a commodity backed currency is not what most our trade is based on) The US dollar was issued by the govt as promises of payment, which are then due on US dollars. Switching from barter to currency is not as simple as the video may suggest, currency/debt promises existed since the mesopotamians, not a modern invention.

You are correct. Currency based economies abstract people from self reliance and enslave the people. Currency based economies are also the main path in which all things can be corrupted. Lastly, currency based economies make it possible to hoard without loss which is why so many people are left with nothing. Currency is our death sentence and thus why I have dedicated the remainder of my life to establishing an alternate barter infrastructure for commodities, necessities and services that can sustain individuals and their families should they choose to not partake in the traditional currency based capitalist market. Also currency can be printed infinitely and abuse citizens. Just imagine someone with a money printer just handing you money until they've taken all your land. It's absurd. While barter forces both people to exchange VALUE. Their arguments are weak. You can simply barter a non-perishing good to keep your value instead of being forced to use gold or silver.
