- *Correction* - Gurdy is closer to $2000 after Euro conversion now if bought new! Thanks!
****correction 2-Sold!!!
Here's a walkthrough of the "Aplo" Hurdy Gurdy by Michalina Malisz. Wait time is likely over a year for one now at the time of this posting. It's a well thought out and well designed Gurdy, around $2000 USD with case and shipping on ancestore.eu I'd say. I am looking to sell this actually as I'm getting a different hurry Gurdy soon!
One correction in the video - the drone strings are metal but the melody/chanterlles and the trompette are nylon.
Please, ask questions if you have any! - Hudba
NIce Price woohoo ! and Nice Sound ! My uncle made these in Quebec ! Thank you for the upgrated version video . Ill send customers your way :o)
Just ordered a Saphonia from the same maker. Going to be a long year and a half wait. BTW, As a mead maker I like your shirt.
Lol thx! It is a hard wait but it’ll be worth it!
Waiting on mine to arrive next March! Can't wait to start
I think you’ll be happy!
@@Jerfish1 I am curious now. You said it comes with metal strings. Can we use gut strings if we wanted to switch them out or are we limited to metal? I'm still new to music so I'm still learning the do's and dont's lol
@@ScruffyForgeThe trompette will be nylon, and you should swap to gut when you can for a better sound. The Metal viola G will probably work better for the G3, but the D4 could be swapped to gut if you wanted (otherwise it will be a viola D).
@@MaxEnloe Thank you for your reply! I'll be keeping an eye out for them once it comes time to setup
Nice video. Aplos are lovely.
A quick correction is that after shipping + soft case it is closer to $2000 (not $2400) - and wait times are currently listed at 5 months, which is regularly updated.
I tried to find that information on wait time but it says ‘will email’. When i converted the euros to USD it was currently $1913 euros, or $2017 you are right. The Euro to USD has dropped a lot more than i thought!
I edited the description, thanks Max Enloe for pointing it out!
@@Jerfish1 of course! Good luck on the sale!
What kind of gurdy are you getting next?
@@MaxEnloe a Largo Tenor made by Sebastian Hilsmann. It’s been just shy of 2 years waiting, but January or February should be here!
Getting mine in February! Quick question, what rosin worked best for you with the Aplo?
I just used a basic violin rosin from Leto musical instrument company, LTD
The "D'Addario Kaplan Premium Rosin - light" is a really good one that seems to work well on the Aplo. But ask MM what they recommend, they know it best!
Is this something you are still currently selling? really beautiful instrument. Has your skill just outgrown this one? , I assume you are aiming to upgrade to one with more options.
I’m still currently selling it yes. I had ordered another instrument before I got this one. That one is a two-year wait time and I got this one to fill the void. Definitely have not outgrown it by any stretch as I confess I needed more play time and did not take advantage of the opportunity to play it more.
Is this still available and where?
Sorry, she sold!
Pardon me but I have a question, “Lark in the morning” a website that sells medieval instruments are selling this exact hurdy gurdy and admits that it is made by the same source you claim it came from. It only sells for $220 dollars, do you think it could be a scam or is it legitimate?
,and if so how long would I take to get one if I may ask?
I cannot see how that could be legit a MM Hurdy Gurdy personally, as they are made to order in the first place
@@Jerfish1 thank you for the information and your opinion, if it is not burden do you know any legit places that sell hurdy gurdies for 300$ if I may ask?
If you’re still selling I’m up for a serious conversation!
She sold last week!
