    OKAY! ACTUAL ADVICE!
    Gerudo Weapons tend to give you a 2x multiplier to whatever material you attach to them. Save your very highest fuse damage materials for a Gerudo greatsword!
    THEN! When you're fighting Lynels, you can mount them and smack them on the back, In the previous game while you were mounted, you do your full damage of your weapon, BUT, it doesn't decay your weapon for some reason. I'm PRETTY sure the same lack of decay is the same in this game.
    SO! Find a Gerudo weapon, and make it into a specifically Lynel hunting weapon!

Also all those other items I mentioned outside of boulders can be found frequently in shrines, and the shape/size of them DOES matter: picking a bigger-shaped block makes your weapon longer (and possibly also more durable, but no idea on that). • @monhi64
      @monhi64 Před 11 měsíci

      @@eatandrun8020well it’s pretty easy to find yourself in scenarios with too many talus hearts if you farm them at all, which you probably should. But more importantly I think that extra attack power helps with mining. Weak weapons can take 2-3 hits the break a deposit while stronger ones do it in one hit. I’m not sure exactly what’s causing the number of hits to break a deposit but definitely looks correlated with attack power.

    • @eatandrun8020
      @eatandrun8020 Před 11 měsíci +1

      @@monhi64 No no attack power does not determine the efficiency of breaking ore deposits, at least it's not a primary determination. It's the type of the weapon you're using that does the trick. All hammer-type weapons are efficient at breaking deposits. In general, one-handed hammers (e.g. a rock infused to a wooden stick) breaks deposits in 2 hits; two-handed hammers (e.g. boulder infused to a Sturdy Thick Stick of which I always keep one in my inventory) can break deposits in just 1 hit. Meanwhile swords would take far more hits to achieve the same result. It's simply aligns with real life physics really.

    don’t forget about shields. there are cool and fun fuses early game that can carry you through:
    - fusing your shield with spiky things, like a spike ball, a spiky slab, or the spiky part of an armored enemy, will reflect damage back at the attacker. you can also slap the enemies with your shield by parrying
    - fusing stone platforms onto your shield allows you to be completely unfazed by flamethrowers, gleeocks’ and fire/ice likes’ fire and flame breaths
    - fusing a trampoline onto your shield allows you to bounce on it once, or immediately stun enemies as they strike you, only works on non boss enemies and non lynels
    - fusing bombs onto your shield allows you to either bounce off the explosion or blow the attacker up. you can do both by shield bouncing on a group of enemies, which you can then enter bullet time and rain artillery fire
    - fusing elemental fruits onto your shield also creates explosions but with elemental effects. you can fuse gems onto your shield to have more uses
    - fusing carts and minecarts lets you use it as a skateboard. fusing a sled allows you to slide on sand and snow faster. fusing a wing allows you to enter bullet time by jumping in place. fusing a rocket pushes you forward
    - fusing your shield onto a 2 handed weapon is also a good idea because you get a balance spread of attack and defense
    fusing active zonai devices like flamethrowers, ice and electricity throwers are not a good idea because they drain shield durability even when the enemies aren’t hitting you. fusing a canon or laser is also very imprecise as the shield moves and sways with link’s movements, so you have to stand completely still, which isn’t the brightest idea in combat.
    you’re also better off throwing puff shrooms, muddle buds and dazzle fruit as to not waste shield durability, and also fuse better items onto your shield

    Would love to see a video about weird and useful fusion effects that aren't just about damage. Shields have some good ones, some less known about.
    One faves are when you add a ruby to a shield: the area around you becomes very warm, letting link walk around in a blizzard all cozy with no other cold weather resistance at all. Link can even skinny dip in cold water (edit: not *most* cold but a lot of winter area water) with no ill effect. The trade off is they are hard to come by, so you *really* don't want the shield its on to break. Using two-handed weapons alongside them is best.

      Something I just learned: The Minecart Shield surf incidentally protects you against Gloom, so if you're going down a slope but it's too low to glide, you can simply skateboard your way across pools of not good. Some amiibo weapons look silly on them if they’re too big, like the Sword of the Six Sages (they changed it to dusk claymore now which I will not be calling it that) just looks silly on top of a spear

    I have gotten a lot of mileage out of Luke's bomb barrel shield idea. Does no damage to you and works as a great desperation move in battles, and you can also shield-surf onto it for a large boost upwards. Always keep some bomb barrel shields in your inventory. Also attack some to sticks or spears to make throwing bombs. As a note, bomb barrels seem to respawn on reloading an area, so just go to the Hyrule Field Skyview Tower and you can find several barrels and a spiky ball.

    6:52 I didn't realize that Ultrahand worked on the Flux constructs... I've just been shooting them until they fall apart. Also, when it's in its platform stage I usually just use rewind on one of the attack blocks it uses to get up there instead of ascend, since it's kind enough to send it your way anyways. Surprised that you didn't mention using any Flame-Breath or Ice-Breath Lizalfos horns to get an elemental weapon or using a Talus heart for more damage out of a hammer weapon.

    • @sintanan469
      @sintanan469 Před rokem

      Two master swords gets you a 60 damage unbreakable sword that hard crashes the game.
      The trick to this is you have to fuse two glitched Master Swords stolen from the opening cutscene by overloading the game to let you fuse a weapon to the sword.

    Sad that you mentioned them, but didn’t point to their best use… any bone arm fused to itself is the best weapon for sneak attacks… until you find some yiga. This allows you to sneak attack four or more enemies WAY out of your league, take their horns, and instantly become mid-game ready.

    An ice spear is broken. You can just throw an ice fruit or chuchu jelly to create a square ice piece to fuse onto a spear. You can use it to freeze water from on top of the ice blocks it makes to cross any body of water without using stamina. Just need to be careful because the ice tip will melt and break off, but if you’re just using it for crossing water then you should have fresh ice to fuse back on.

    It also helps to know how durability is affected by fusing. All weapons aside for rusty and stal arm types get a +25 to its durability by fusing something to it. However keep in mind that whatever you fuse to it has durability too & will break after so many hits, and that both the base and fused weapon take durability damage with each hit!
    However, items used just for fusing do not break! Meaning that sometimes it's best to use a fuse type item for fusion instead of a weapon, so that you'll have a strong weapon for all of it's durability vs the fused weapon breaking after a while leaving you with a weaker unfused weapon.
    Still, if you don't have very strong fusion options but come across a strong weapon, it may still be best to fuse the two strong weapons together for the best attack.

    1) When you first get near one enough to spawn it, it sets it's inventory and replenishes every blood moon. In order for it to be different, you have to take the weapon... so if you don't want a traveler's sword, chuck it.
    2) That guy will always have whatever weapon type he first spawns with. Two-handed great weapon, one handed weapon, or spear. Keep that in mind.
    3) In order for a weapon to spawn in the hands one of those dudes, you must have used and broken the weapon (decayed counts) already.

    when the constructs turn into the floating platform you ascend up to, instead of pulling the weak block out, just stand on it and attack it. it can't hurt you up there, and then after a bit of damage it will collapse, leaving you free to attack the weak block again. So esstentially two rounds of safe damage instead of just one!
    I also didn't think to ascend up into it when I found my first one and was wondering what the hell I was supposed to do to the floating platform!
