I've always thought this was the crappiest job. You literally are in the building when all these legendary plays and games happen, yet, have your back to them the entire time all whilst watching the enjoyment on the faces of those who got to actually see lol.
It's only crappy if you care about the sport, if I was a security guard working there it would be easy since I don't watch it on my own time anyway.
i work security and you’re not supposed to but you can sneak quick glances and if you’re super lucky they give you a post with a pretty decent view

Because security guards work full time, and maybe occasionally you work at events you like. Maybe you see your favorite football team play every weekend, but you stull have 4/5 other days to work
Not really the case at all. Any staff you see at these events usually work at that venue/ arena specifically (or one of a few locations). It's rare to be a one off gig and when it is its probably through an agency.
You can get concerts or games you wanna see and work them, but it all depends on what events are going on at that time

I used to work security at a ton of different sport/venue events, including Orlando city soccer games. Literally nobody gives a shit as long as it's within reason, and even then, these jobs dont "fire you", you just take a few months' break from a certain venue and everyone tends to forget.

I worked as event staff a few years. This is not only a professional appearance rule, but also when the staff is hired or even provided by the venue, they also handle customer complaints, help, fire safety, line management, ticket processing and
crowd control. Just trying to keep people safe at the events for liability/insurance things like that

I risked it I used to do security and was at the Super Bowl one year and when the time came to go on the field for the last 2 minutes of the game. I left my post and got in line and went on the field lmao yup wasnt honna miss that opportunity.

Lmao so somebody is butt hurt. A whole bunch of companies are subcontracted by the NFL to fill the spots. The owners of companies put in bids the NFL picks those bids and then the owners pick employees to go work. The owner of my company happened to be in the line and I told him hey where you going and that's how I found out that they were lining up to go on the field and he told me yo just come here. I had tunnel D section 2. They still have section 1 3 4 n 5 so it was fine. Lol. It was the main entrance for the high profiles. Idgaf we were there from 9:00 a.m. all the way until 11:00 p.m. and we were not allowed a lunch break or a break. I was requesting to use the restroom every few hours so I can go sit down on the toilet for about 5 to 10 minutes.
