Bayern were not good and could be dealt with! now we go to the Allianz and we can only hope now

There were multiple times when Bayern played a simple one two between their mids deep in their own half and beat our entire midfield. It left our back 4 under pressure they hadn't seen before. Although Partey gave the ball away a few times, his passing broke lines, and we were more dangerous when he came in. Finally, Jesus dropped a 9/10. Beautiful play from him.
Waited so long for CL, especially this stage - then the PTSD kicked in. Both goals were gifted to them. Not a pen for me, he was looking for the contact, he flung his leg towards Neuer
in the moment the draw was painful especially with that ending, but we have to accept that the champions league is just different. small mistakes are costly and teams like bayern, who have nothing to play for in their own league, will see this as their only shot at glory and will look at the inexperience in our team and smell blood. that european heritage is a real thing as corny as it might sound and we dont have that, we're trying to build it slowly. for our first time at this stage in years a draw to bayern is not the end of the world, just gotta shrug it off and move.
I told you Curtis it was a smokescreen when they ost to heidenheim Kate should have seen red and David raya was in no man's land Ben whites miss was the turning point. We gifted them goals and partly should have started trossard for martinelli
We’re all caught up on whether or not that’s a pen. What does it matter? It wasn’t given. You rarely get calls like that in the UCL. And honestly, that shouldn’t be the narrative. Fact is, we were DREADFUL for large portions of that game. Schoolboy errors everywhere, misplaced passes galore, poor decisions constantly… what a disappointment. Let’s have it straight, Bayern were average at best. We made them look way better than they actually were. Half of these players don’t deserve to start the next leg and Mikel has a lot to figure out before heading to Munich.
I think we need to seriously face up to it that Martinelli is a one dimensional player. Absolutely ZERO trickery, skill or dribbling ability. Admit it now: He’s a pure pace merchant like Adama Traore. Runs only in a straight line and has the occasional shot. Nothing else. He should be a squad player and definitely not start at Allianz.
@@whiteglovepc His PRIMARY ROLE is to be a problem in the attacking half. He did not have conving shots at goal, was not dribbling etc compared to Bayern forwards. He did track back, he did win the one important defensive tackle towards the end on the wing....Just not a threat in attack

Even if it was, which it wasn't!, Bayern should have had a stone wall Penalty, when saliba just picked the ball up, but ARSENAL FANS DON'T want to talk about that, i think 2-2 was a fair result as a neutral!!
I am open to having my mind changed, but it looked to me as though Neuer was pretty much standing still and a sprinting Saka ran into him. Regardless, I suspect that the ref was NOT going to give a controversial penalty in the last minute or so of the match given that the ref saw Magalhães commit the most blatant handball ever and deliberately ignoring the offence. Tuchel went crazy in the technical area after Arsenal had a goal kick, the ref blew up, Raya took it with a pass to Gabriel Magalhães on his left. Inexplicably, Magalhães bent down and picked it up with two hands for NO obvious reason!!! Tichel saw it. TNT coverage missed it as did all the Bayern players! The ref saw it according to Tuchel and said that he did not give it on purpose, as he saw it as a schoolboy error. Kane should have been red carded. Before he elbowed Gabriel Magalhães, he looked over his own left shoulder shoulder to see where he was. He then lashed out with his right arm, on the blind side of the ref.
Neur extended hus leg and then pulled it back. Saka's body was not positioned properly and he also took a bad touch so he initiated the contact and went down. Not a penalty in the UCL. Maybe he would have gotten it in the PL.
Never a penalty. Saka is getting a reputation for diving and limping off when he has a bad game to feign injury. Foden showed the level difference tonight. A draw is a great result for Bayern... Its just alright for Arsenal. Arsenal will crap themselves away. We already saw they don't do well at noisy, passionate European grounds at Lens and Porto.
All considered a draw was a fair result, we gifted them their 2 goals, White & Sane should've scored in front of goal, their post and Saka should have just gone for the goal with intent, not taking the PEN as it presented itself. The occassion got to us just like Porto away, but this time however, the 2nd leg is away!
Not the result we wanted . But we move. Great community vibes tonight it was ridiculous. And hosted by the best in the business. We need to liven up for the next leg . Cccc unit
He could’ve avoided him but it was still a pen. Goal scoring opportunity denied. When keepers dive at the ball with their hands the player can nearly always avoid it, but it’s still a pen if they make contact. Overall it’s Saka’s fault, he could’ve taken responsibility rather than relying on the ref.
Big up curtis and the community, just watching on catchup .. bit dissapointed with result ,not end of the world but not sure how we'll get on Germany , its just that European football seems to be arsenals ' monkey on the back ' we should be a European force like the Madrids , milans ,Liverpools, but we seem to be nowhere near !! Hopefully we can do better in seasons to come , KEEP THE FAITH fellow gooners ...COYG
Big C do me a favor if you want to understand why Saka penalty was not given just listen to TURCHEL post match interview absolutely shocking what this disgraceful referee did. In my opinion the referee balanced the game based on what Turchel said in the post match interview 😡😡😡😡😡😡
I think Arsenal lack the composure in certain areas to be dominate against the elite teams tonight was a big example. The early signs at Man City were there. The problem is near the end I saw some tired legs with Ben White, Rice, Jorginho & Havertz . How will Arteta manage the minutes for them in the Villa game with the return leg 3 days after. We can’t afford to allow for the game in Germany to go to extra time. Too much at risk with fatigue and injury. Arteta will have to manage the Villa game masterfully with his rotation. The advantage is that we are at home..
Never a pen for Saka. Curtis this is THE CLnot prem we saw that the rules are different against Porto. Saka needs to man up breda, realise this is a big occasion stay on your feet and score SIMPLE
I CANNOT BELIEVE the people that think it's NOT a penalty. DID YOU SEE THE PEN THEY GOT?!?!?! ALSO NEUER LITERALLY STICKS HIS LEG OUT INFRONT OF SAKA, WHY SHOULD SAKA DO EVERYTHING TO DODGE NEUER AND RISK FALLING/LOSING HIS BALANCE WHEN NEUER COMES RUSHING OUT AND STICKS OUT HIS LEG??? Absolutely incredible
Was a pen but ref never gave it because gabi handballs it from goal kick lucky we wasn't 3-1 big school boy error from gabi luckily ref made a big mistake
Because you clowns declare Saka as a world class player. A truly world class player scores that instead of looking for a penalty. Saka was either in control and could have scored, or he was out of control and looked for a pen. Get over it m8. Not a pen.
First off, *Bayern were held by Arsenal* . That Coman ball hit the pole. Bayern had a penalty shout that wasn’t given Secondly, that was never a penalty for Saka. Saka deliberately pushed his leg towards neuer. Saka should have scored not five
Bayern Munich are Champions league royalty,..always in the final stages like Real Madrid,Barcelona....this stage is another step up for our players, they have to learn the rhythm of these matches...mistakes we could get away in the league,..we will not in the CL...its a learning process,we are not going to win this competition and we have over achieved,..we did not lose and it's a one off game now...we love them 😏
Disappointing result, a good humbling, and a necessary learning curve. Positives and negatives. Saka proving he’s a big game player. Our goals were clinical and theirs were gifted though mistakes. We’re taught what it’s like to make mistakes in the CL, and how quickly you’re punished. The defenders, especially Saliba got an ego check. Why did he even stick a leg out? He couldn’t get the ball. White was behind him. And the angle was bad. As a unit they panicked on the occasion. Trossard proved he’s a baller baller. Saka didn’t dive, but shamelessly forced contact. Really disappointing. Especially growing up in the 90s. Stay on your feet brudda. I initially thought Neuer had planted his foot, but he hadn’t, which means he hadn’t finished his tackle before they made contact. What I don’t understand is, Saka had beaten the keeper and created a great opportunity. Where he intended to plant his right leg was unnatural for needing to turn left. He should’ve genuinely moved his leg out of the way. He had a 33% chance of missing, scoring, or genuinely drawing the pen. It’s a penalty in the prem. Perhaps he’d even get the pen earlier in the second half, but no ref is giving that in the 95th min in a game like this. I hope Arteta tells him not to be like Ronaldo. Bless up Curtis, Cruz and the community 🙌🏽💙
It’s a penalty. Saka is the player being challenged he doesn’t have to jump out of neuers way. He is changing direction from right to left where else is his right leg supposed to be but in the GK charging path. Stonewall penalty. Referee was a coward and VAR didn’t even check it
It was not a penalty. Looks like he kicks Neuers right leg in desperation. This decision is a win for modern football. Players should go back to playing the game instead of playing the ref.

@@blackkid128 Is that any different to what he does usually?
@@jgooner894 not that far. He’s too close to be an option for Gabriel to pass back
It's not the opposition but Arsenal's team performance that worries me as well. We can beat the best when the right team shows up , but when we are subpar we are dreadful to watch. I do believe it's a penalty, but we shouldn't hold that as an excuse for losing, that performance was shocking ! Bayern were not good and could be dealt with! now we go to the Allianz and we can only hope now
Bayern were good, though. Bayern have one of the most stacked squads in Europe. The amount of talent they have is actually insane. They set up perfectly to get a result in this match and exploited our weaknesses perfectly.
@@whiteglovepc yeah I agree , they are a good side . But i know Arsenal had a gear or 2 more and could have dealt with them. It’s a good thing because the team are progressing and it feels like a let down when a couple of years it would of been the opposite
@@daniboii7497 very true
Disappointing. Raya out of control first half. Should have observed Gabriel had it and supported him. Huge momentum killer. Saka should have stayed up and would have had a goal.
The only thing is that the second game is do or die for Bayern this season ! Big pressure !
On the penalty .... we should never have put ourselves in the position to be chatting about the game being settled by penalty hopes .... facts...
I think Ben White needs more credit than being paired with below average.
I honestly think he played well. People are having a go at him because if the missed chance. He’s not a striker!
@@jeanst.ledger5086still gotta bury those
HAVERTZ....
This game showed why we cannot have luxury players....Bayern had ALL their players working full time
Well i Heard he's the new bergkamp 😂
Havertz worked his socks off, what? Only player who possibly out worked him was Odegaard who was poor. I thought Havertz did a lot right in this game.
@@Targeting-Must-End Bayern forwards are some of the best in the world. For some reason, people just ignore this fact. Havertz is not a dribbler, he’s a focal point
@@whiteglovepc Their forwards + Alfonso Davies. No Arsenal equivalent.
Does Havertz get in the Bayern team?? No.
I like your analysis, Saka would have gone ahead and score that goal. Rather, he decided to fall for a penalty that wasn't given. So sad
Saliba shouldn't have made that challenge. Ball was going away from Sane and White was behind him to mop up
Big C our guys were nervous and it caused them the match But you know what I trust them to get the job done in Bayern Munich because this boy's can grow and deal with Bayern.
Saka tried to cheat his way to a victory.
That should have been a card for saka for kicking the goalkeeper.. I can’t believe he didn’t just go around him an score instead of looking for a pen and diving
Big up, player… commenting to strike that algorithm… Big up & bless up ⬆️ Now the pressure is on to win in Bayern… 🫡
Everyone can see that the KIwi was not ripe at this level. It's all on Arteta.
Martin played well Big C
Great result for Bayern. We have work to do in Munich and lots of the players need to turn up cos they were poor
Deff not a pen extends his leg he could have scored if he didn’t do that
What kind of English is this? It’s supposed to be “could *have*”
@@lesego9559 I’ll fix it so you won’t cry
Not the result we wanted . But we move. Great community vibes tonight it was ridiculous. And hosted by the best in the business. We need to liven up for the next leg . Cccc unit
I can't understand how you guys are saying it's not a penalty. He is in momentum and Neuer stckes his leg out. Saka leg being extended is irrelevant!
Not a pen and should have been a yellow for Saka. Honestly lost a lot respect for him trying to pull that shit
I think we were rattled after we went down 2-1 maybe that’s why we didn’t create
Rice didn’t even play much. Didn’t play a game and was a sub in the last
Havertz ain't going no where big C. He will be the Arsenal striker until the end of the season.
Never a pen for Saka. Curtis this is THE CLnot prem we saw that the rules are different against Porto. Saka needs to man up breda, realise this is a big occasion stay on your feet and score SIMPLE
Gabriel thinks hes playing rugby 😂😂
I CANNOT BELIEVE the people that think it's NOT a penalty. DID YOU SEE THE PEN THEY GOT?!?!?! ALSO NEUER LITERALLY STICKS HIS LEG OUT INFRONT OF SAKA, WHY SHOULD SAKA DO EVERYTHING TO DODGE NEUER AND RISK FALLING/LOSING HIS BALANCE WHEN NEUER COMES RUSHING OUT AND STICKS OUT HIS LEG???
Absolutely incredible
Because he could score.
Not a pen.
@ShaneSheridan-wy3pe raya was passing gabby the ball to take the gk? Funny how NO channel or TV outlet has mentioned that decision once
First off, *Bayern were held by Arsenal* . That Coman ball hit the pole.
Bayern had a penalty shout that wasn’t given
Secondly, that was never a penalty for Saka. Saka deliberately pushed his leg towards neuer.
Saka should have scored not five
no penalty for me Saka should have to do more
I wish that ball had Trosad or Jesus.
It just wasn’t our night, but I think we’ll beat them in the second leg big up big C👊🏾
No chance
For sure, I think we will be fired up for this one. We know what we need to do, win at all cost👊🏾
Just had a look at the saka incident and I can say it wasn’t a penalty lol he jumped into the keeper leg lol.
Striker these days are looking for contact instead for trying to score... RUBBISH
Saka 😢
2-2 off of mistakes. Fix it and win it
It’s a penalty. Saka is the player being challenged he doesn’t have to jump out of neuers way. He is changing direction from right to left where else is his right leg supposed to be but in the GK charging path. Stonewall penalty. Referee was a coward and VAR didn’t even check it
Saka should have just tried to score... I like Saka but he's been dropping stinkers for about a month now...
I think Tuchel bottled it taking off Sane, that guy was giving us different kinda problems! Imagine if we had him AND Saka kmt MENTAL.
Saka should’ve tried to score
David Raya wtf was he doing I rather not sign him on a permanent 🤷🏽♂️
I agree with Curtis, it was Rayas fault!
It was not a penalty. Looks like he kicks Neuers right leg in desperation. This decision is a win for modern football. Players should go back to playing the game instead of playing the ref.
Definitely a penalty, Second leg will be difficult but we have to believe *robbie voice*
It wasn't. Saka deliberately stuck his leg there looking for a pen. Not a foul.
Not a pen unfortunately. Saka looked for the contact so frustrating when these players go down when if they keep their feet they may score
