Ground wires smaller than #4 have to be green or bare, not tape.

Ground wires are green or no insulation. Never black. I don't see where the metal box is grounded - a code violation.

That's why he had green tape around his ground wire to identify that it's a ground wire.
@@fdeguilla there are two approved methods to ground the metal box.
One is to attach the ground wire to the green screw on the bottom of the box the second is to use a grounding clip.
The grounding clip requires a Bare wire
I don't see any of these.
If I missed it can you provide how many minutes into the video where the approved grounding method is visible.
Also why put green tape on a black wire.
Just strip off the insulation so it is bare inside the box.
I thought that part of the video is showing you how he's hooking up the ground wire coming from the Tesla wall charger, not how he's grounding the box.

That is part of the installation video.
The National Electric Code sometimes provides overkill. The local building inspectors can also ignore the nec (90.4). Section 314.4 requires metal boxes to be grounded. Did California cance this requirement? A metal box was mentioned and not conected.
Did you have to go back and torque the lugs on the charger side?

6 gage , electric wire , allowed in your area .
Number 6AWG is required for a 60 amp breaker unless you are using NM-B cable which is rated from the 60 degree column of the chart. As is required throughout the US by the National Electric Code.

If you have to ask... Hire an electrician! Most likely you will make some code violations!

National Electric Code 625 EVSE (car chargers) demands the circuit carry the charge current plus 25% or 125% of charge current.....32 amp charger needs 40 amp minimum circuit.

Tesla chargers are not three phase. They are 240 volt single phase.
Almost no one has 3 phase going to their homes.

@@md929 I have had to reply to other videos also. One ran metal conduit to the box and was not even fastened to the box just sitting loose in the hole! Big code violation besides being metal which is also a violation when connecting to a plastic box. On another video someone was drawing 34 Amps on a 30 amp circuit and was talking about breaker being hot!

@@Ramirezja76 Is that with pre-existing conduit run? How far from your breaker panel is the charger located? With what little this guy had to do for this job, I would have charged about $350 bucks for this install.
