Ya but also, most stoners are some of the least self aware people ever, so the weed doesn’t show them shit. The self aware people have a tough time cuz it shows them shit. Maybe the comfy chill stoners are just way too complacent to care about their issues. I smoke when i have absolutely nothing to do and can/should just chill and it shows me the demons sometimes but ya ig i need to see them, but other people never see the demons and live in a pig sty or still have these unresolved issues n dgaf.
Will never forget when I did shrooms at 16 and came home to my mom. She was sitting on her bed in rollers but she appeared as a Medusa-ish figure with six arms. When she spoke all I heard was “bleep bloop blorp.” I answered the night queens inquiries as best as I could and luckily she dismissed me to my quarters. Thankfully Tony Hawk guided me back to reality.

I only done shrooms like 3 times. I remember trippin my ass off and not really liking it. Spent a lot of time involuntarily running thru some of my least favorite memories. Never experienced any visual hallucinations. I did find cartoons to be funnier than usual tho.

Played this game of “do they know I’m high” for most of high school, I thought I had won the game. Spoke to my teacher a few years removed and it turns out they knew but didn’t care to stop me with their logic being “well at least you weren’t doing coke or acid”
That's lowkey pretty eye-opening lol. I think most people assume(me included) that they got away with that stuff. You never consider the third option that they know but don't care. My friends and I used to steal a shameful amount from this comic book store growing up. Once the clerk just looked at us with his regular dead eyes and casually said I know you guys steal. Obviously, being kids, we had nothing to say and slinked off. After that, it went back to our regular dynamic and it was never touched on again. Years later, we'd bring it up to each other to verify just to make sure it really happened.

That was pretty much me every time I done smoked. It's like my corpus turned into a damn gaseous network of very fuzzily defined, refried nerve ends, and I would have to focus on them to bring them back into my awareness and back under my control. It's like re-mapping your own self out of the undefined morass of a psychosomatic black hole. But it's not fun, or at least it never was for me lol. The only "fun" part was coming down and thinking "thank Christ it's ending, I actually feel like I'm back in a body again" which was usually coupled with an easy, slightly dissociative pseudo-euphoria.
Anyway, I'm sure there has to be a correlation between being a control freak and not enjoying that kind of high. If you're one of those people who genuinely has no fear of being swept along by the currents of fate wherever they may lead , then I can see how you could get into it, but if not then it's like white-knuckling the steering wheel while you're spiraling down a mountain road in the dark with the engine on fire. I think you kind of have to not fear death or suffering to enjoy it.

You may have a point about being a control freak and not liking how it makes you feel, also the psychoactive chemicals in weed might just react with you negatively. Personally when I smoke I get very happy and relaxed, which usually allows me to shut my mind down from all the stuff constantly racing through it and focus on something. I'm sorry you've had that experience it sounds very unpleasant, it kinda sounds like how I feel when I drink too much alcohol, I always just wish that it was over and usually regret getting that drunk.
Dude the older you get it gets more intense when you stop and start again. “If your on everyday it’s nothing, but when you stop and start, and your over 30 you go to the moon in a panic rocket “🚀!!!! Nah but for real! Few years back I drove 30 mins to the borgata to play poker took a vape hit in the tunnel went to the valet but didn’t stop and just casually in a panic drove back home lol. One hit quit the poker game I was so psyched for, that night sucked!

I was in the 9th grade when Pineapple Express and Tropic Thunder came out in theaters. I always hung out with the 11th and 12th graders. We planned to see both movies back-to-back. 1 dude's dad had a medical marijuana license and he stole like 4grams from his dad so we could smoke before the double feature.
We always had good weed in my town but this shit, for the time, was some government laboratory NASA space weed. With the tolerance of a teenager but smoking at an 18yos pace.
I was doinked into another dimension for at least 5 hours.
I have never laughed more and laughed harder in my entire life.

Man I don't smoke anymore because of that. I used to smoke a TON and it was like nothing, roll out of bed and take two bong tokes but once I stopped then end up taking one hit off a joint, pen or edible I'm toast for the night. It sucks, but it does save me a LOT of money when I'm not buying an oz a week, and buying a new pipe and/or bong every month when I or my damn stoner cat would break it.

@@AnxiousStacker Kratom helped me quit drinking in a way that was unbelievable. I had seizures when I stopped initially. I started Kratom after that and it really killed all cravings.

So I’ve had a lot of experience with both sides, not feeling what they are feeling, and then as I got older, knowing exactly what they are talking about. Have you ever stopped smoking for like, over a year or 2? Just no weed at all? Once you come back and smoke again, it hits you completely differently and this is the panic people talk about. I used to smoke and have no idea what people are referring to. When you take a massive break and then come back and smoke, a lot of the time this “panic state” will happen and it will completely fuck you up and be new to you. It sucks, tbh.

Many moons ago when my dad first started dating my stepmom they went to a party where they got hammered and one of his buddy's broke out the doinkers. She wasn't really experienced like my dad so when she took like one hit off the joint she coughed her ass off and then maybe 5 min later he had to drive her, almost blackout drunk, to the emergency room because she swore she was having a heart attack. 5 hours later they were discharged and it turned out she was just really high. Never again. She's never been invited to big boy parties after that and they've been married for over 20 years now. I totally get what the dawgz are preaching here.
