Beethoven wrote Fur Elise for one of his student's that he fell inlove with. Since she wasn't the best at piano, he made the notes really easy. After learning about her engagement, he was heartbroken and wrote the rest of the song so hard, that she'll never be able to play it.

Iv been a heavy metal fan all my life, i play guitar. Always thought classical music sucked. Then the other day i came across Beethoven fur elise covered by a guy called Lang Lang. Iv heard it a million times over my 41 years but never really listened to it properly. After hearing it i was blown away. it was beautiful, it took me somewhere iv never been before listening to music. Now i feel like iv missed out all these years and i got a lot to catch up on. To save me time, can anyone recommend some popular classical music? Solo piano is really floating my boat at the moment, but im keen to hear any form of classical music. Cheers
