    Material List:
    5 yards of flannel for backing
    2 yards of assorted white quilting cotton
    2.5 yards of assorted red quilting cotton
    1.5 yards of assorted blue quilting cotton
    full or queen size batting or equivalent by the yard
    assorted matching thread
    6" square ruler
    5" square ruler
    scissors
    cutting mat and rotary cutter
    pins or quilting clips

    Beautiful!! You might try putting flannel in the middle. You cut them the same size as your top square. You could use another cotton layer on the back. It will give you a two-sided quilt. Using the flannel in the middle gives you a fluffier rag on top. It also gives you more color choices. Great job

    Is the fabric -cotton on top layer and flannel on the bottom layer ?

      @@pattispencer8503 yep! Cotton top, cotton batting in the middle and cotton flannel on the bottom.

      @@Hiddenhilltophomestead Thanks ! Love this quilt. I’ve only used flannel and just recently replaced the batting with flannel. But I’m going to try using cotton fabric on the top layer next. Thanks again!

    Can you use cotton fabric? I’d like to sew up my long term stash quickly
