- In this video we are taking a look at the grip modifications we made using epoxy putty and silicon Carbide to Tims Canik Tp9 SFX. We think this will make a huge difference in recoil mitigation. Wasnt difficult but should yield real benefits. We learned about this mod by visiting Team Canik Pro shooter Frank the Tank. @pewpewtank #canik #caniktp9sfx

Interesting on building up the grip. I might be staying with Frank the Tank at nationals - he is on my squad
I think its going to be helpful, Tim has meaty hands and couldnt really drive with the weak hand like he wanted to with the grip and frame shape. I certainly think this will help. Been a long time since I doctored up a grip but this one seems to benefit from it. Nice on the squading......small world.......well I guess even smaller when youre a national level shooter :)
HM- love your channel. Keep up the great content.
How did you attach the mag well to the brass back strap could not see in pics.
How is everything holding up after a year? I’m interested in the palm swell idea. Do you mold the palm swell and then wait 24 hours or something for that to cure and then do the epoxy for the silicon carbide or do you just do it all at once?
That is awesome thank you for sharing
Thanks for watching!
how does the palm swell stay on? will the putty bond to the grip? or is it the secondary coat of epoxy?
yup, its permanant
What brand is the epoxy?
How come you didn’t sprinkle the silicon carbide on the back strap?
Tim was unsure if he was going to keep this backstrap or go with a heavywieght brass backstrap. Just makes it easier to change. Thanks for watching and for the question!
I want palm swell on my dominant (right) hand, maybe I'll try this
How do you remove that if you need to?
sorry, this is a permanant mod
