Got one a few weeks ago. Unfortunately quality check is what to expect from these companies. There is some light escaping outside of the screen and more specifically over the top left corner as the viewer is looking. That means the projector departments are not sealed as they should so particles of dust are starting gathering on the screen and those can be seen when the projector is showing a black screen (multiple white points in various parts of the screen, like looking a night sky with few far away stars). Other than that for a sub 100 euros final price, the experience in movie viewing is great and the lamp strong enough, even for a half light environment as the review shows at 03:00.

I did like my V5 a lot, amazing brightness and image quality for the price, BUT after one year of not so many use, it now has around 10 or 15 dead pixels... It doesn't bother me while watching but I don't know if it is going to get worse in the next months. I guess that you get what you pay for

Seems like time to upgrade from the VP8 of Blitzwolf that I got in summer 2020 for £65 this is £95 on banggood. The corners and 1080p and fan noise appear to be a big improvement. Thanks for another great video.
If you have not bought your upgrade I think you should know that Blitzwolf have a new projector BlitzWolf BW-V6 available for preorder. It costs a bit more, however it also promises some major upgrades such as a brighter picture(Higher lumens and HDR 10 technology), a built in Linux entertainment center as well as Certifications such as Netflix, Dolby Audio and Widevine DRM L1.
@@justjc51 same price as V4 without all the features and as for lumens I have a screen that increases brightness by 1.2x though the HDR10 is an interest prospect. Don't care for the built in speakers on projectors and linux got a ton of boxes already. its easier to upgrade external accessories. I am excited to see what HDR10 will add from Blitzwolf but the demo between photos is clearly over the top. thanks for the heads up I had seen this one earlier this week, I actually picked up v4 in the end.

Thank you for the helpful video. I want to project to a wall with 150cm width from a distance of 330cm. Having a throw ratio of 1.3, it means I should project from 195cm to reach this width. Therefore, the only option is to change zoom. In the video you are only going to 75% zoom. Was it just because, or is it the minimum zoom value? From my calculations, I would need to reach about 60% of zoom. Can you help me with this? Thanks 👍

Was happy with this projector for a day. Then the whitest whites started to ghost blur towards the centre of the frame. Distracting when watching shows with subtitles. Weird issue.

@@jayceooiwhy would you say V5 over V5 Max. Got a max last week and im quiete happy using a FireTV stick and bt soundbar. Only problem is the IR standard of the remote. Would like to use only the FireTV remote but it seems impossible. Blitzwolf does not answer any mails about that. Oh, and btw. to save keystone (no auto feature) and zoom you have to reboot. Otherwise it resets erverytime. Seems to be a bug. An update would be nice. I'll have a look at tjat hatch for cleaning the back side of the lens. It is on the bottom you said, right?

thx, it worked, but i found out if you use to strong of a vacum cleaner then it will pull new dust from other openings in case, so i taped all other holes off and cleaned again and now its clean, thank you.@@jayceooi

Never buy it !!! It's not worth anything!!! Poor quality - better if you will buy some cheap used TV !!! For good projection you need to have good projector minimum 500$ for used one plus dark room and good screen - so it's not worh it better buy 65 or 70 inches TV even used one and will be better!!! V5 doesn't have WiFi. You need TV Stick for that.
For colours, V5 is better.

It might be a projector thing. Mine does the same however mine is slightly off axis & not parallel with the wall so one corner is blurry.

A few dust particles on the lens are normal for budget projector. They won't affect projection image.

@@jayceooiwhy would you say V5 over V5 Max. Got a max last week and im quiete happy using a FireTV stick and bt soundbar. Only problem is the IR standard of the remote. Would like to use only the FireTV remote but it seems impossible. Blitzwolf does not answer any mails about that. Oh, and btw. to save keystone (no auto feature) and zoom you have to reboot. Otherwise it resets erverytime. Seems to be a bug. An update would be nice. I'll have a look at tjat hatch for cleaning the back side of the lens. It is on the bottom you said, right?

I recieved mine and it has a little black spot, like a piece of dust or something, i cleaned the lens and its still there.
Open the dust cover at the bottom and clean it already?

thx, it worked, but i found out if you use to strong of a vacum cleaner then it will pull new dust from other openings in case, so i taped all other holes off and cleaned again and now its clean, thank you.@@jayceooi

V5 is better. Note - X1 has around actual 120 ANSI Lumens only. Dust is common on budget 1LCD projectors. Just clean it frequently will do.

Never buy it !!! It's not worth anything!!! Poor quality - better if you will buy some cheap used TV !!! For good projection you need to have good projector minimum 500$ for used one plus dark room and good screen - so it's not worh it better buy 65 or 70 inches TV even used one and will be better!!! All of these new projectors under 400/500$ are not good projectors!!!
