In advance of the fast-approaching Book Launch of the new and extended paperback edition of Richard Balls’ “A Furious Devotion - The Life Of Shane MacGowan”, here at the ICC July 19th, we bring you this short film, in which the Journalist Anne Flaherty previews the book on the recent episode of the ICC’s radio show “Bright Side Of The Road’, broadcast on Portobello Radio.
Richard Balls’ book of the late great Shane MacGowan has been acclaimed by Shanes fans and by the National Press and now with extra chapters, it’s been described by Shane’s Sister, Siobhan MacGowan, as the definitive Shane MacGowan Biography.
Richard will be in conversation with Anne Flaherty on July 19th; where he’ll share his personal memories of his late friend; and he’ll also sign copies of his book straight after the event.
