Hey Guys, in this week's video I am going to be showing you how to DJ on your phone. In the video, I use the software Djay 2 by Algoriddim. I am aware that most of the people who are watching this video are people who are brand new to DJing and the principles behind it. I take you right back to the basics and show you everything you need to know if this is your first time on DJ gear.
After I have run you through how to use all the features, I show you an exercise that will help you learn how to beatmatch. Don't worry; if you have no idea what beatmatching is, I also explain this in the video. I know that this video is a long video, but I wanted to make sure that this video covered everything it needed to.

great video but i still have an issue: I can see your dj pads stay horizontal but for me they automatically go vertical and wont change back to horizontal even when i turn my phone horizontal. so im stuck on vertical

One of the best tutorials I've come across on the topic. If you ever decide to take a timeout from DJing you can definitely get into teaching, which is a talent in itself.

I just beatmatched hold me by olmos to your hand holding mine by yellow days and i just wanna say thank you because even though it's the smallest accomplishment ever i was smiling and clapping my hands and could not contain my excitement lol. I loved the way it sounded and I never thought id be able to learn this ( I suck at anything music related lol)

Thanks for the video. Very helpful! My son's getting married this summer and so we're looking to make a mix of songs to dance to our "mother and son" dance.…a little slow dance, rap, and country....should be interesting for this 56 year old (: We want to make it a fun surprise and totally unexpected. I've just come across your videos and just wanted to say how great they are. I love your style of teaching and explaining things in an easy understandable way. I always wanted to learn how to DJ but was laughed at when I mentioned it. Now I guess I can start to learn. Do you do private lessons? If im wanting to play for my friends or at a birthday party is it legal to play music from a spotify playlist or should I use a service where I get beats for paying?

I've just downloaded this tonight to have a bit of fun on nightshift and found it quite addictive
For better resolution with things like sliders on a touch screen, _roll_ your finger once you get close instead of sliding it.
I know this video is old but I been practicing my beat matching cause I make beats and make my own music when not making beats this was really helpful

Do you think a person with no background in music can learn djing? I really want to learn how to learn but I have no idea where to start 😢. I use android crossdj from SOUNDCLOUD, I have upgradeded version. I'm into dj' ing more as crating new tracks with loops and laying down my own beats. What I want to know is best way to isolate vocals to add to my tracks. And thanks, the tips are basic for any deck.
