I was born and raised there ( family settled there in the early 1800s) and it has changed so much since the 60s! Still beautiful, but I cry at what has been lost: the wilderness, the quiet, nature.

I absolutely love this video! I agree with the thesis of this video: Dundas will always be home! :D

That is the Hermitage - it is at the Dundas Valley Conservation Area. This video was taken years ago and it does look a bit different now.

Justin Plus Lauren the majority of the school were built in the 60s or earlier so most schools have heightened levels of lead in them. And they haunt fixed even though it's been a problem for years.

Why bs? There's nothing wrong with loving where you're from.

@@JustinPlusLauren Now it is trendy an upscale. When I grew up there in the 60s and 70s it was awash with drugs and booze and every social problem you can imagine. About 1/2 the storefronts on King Street were boarded up and your family had to have lived there a 100 years to get a job at Bertrums of Valley City.

@@haltomont Really ? Wow ! That's hard to imagine. We first moved there in 1981, and it was just like it is now, except less 'trendy', and more 'small town'. There were no boarded up shops, and the ones that were there were far less expensive and elite than they are now.
