    The 2014 Audi A6 spans the largest gap in the Audi lineup. It is inexpensive enough to tempt A4 buyers to upgrade, and intelligently equipped to persuade the A7 and A8 buyer to skimp on size, but not technology.
    As you'll see in this A6 review, there is roughly a $34,000 swing in pricing from the simplest A6 to one that is fully loaded. this is for a couple of reasons, but mostly because of engine options.
    The A6 comes in many varieties:
    - Turbo four cylinder (2.0T) with front-wheel drive (Multitronic Transmission)
    - Turbo four cylinder (2.0T) with quattro all-wheel drive (Tiptronic Transmission)
    - Supercharged six cylinder (3.0T) with quattro all-wheel drive
    - Turbo six cylinder Clean Diesel (3.0T) with quattro all-wheel drive
    Some of the neat features that are available on the Audi A6 range from Audi Connect, the Innovation Package, Night Vision Assistant, Active Lane Assist, Pre Sense Plus, and many many more.

    Thank you for one of the best reviews I've seen on the A6. Your review helped me zero in on the "options" I was looking for. I have ordered a 2015 Prestige, Daytona Gray, 3.0 TDI, Sport Package, Black Leather & Headliner - and I even went for the 8RF option ... the B&O sound system - from my local dealer here in Texas.
    I did have to do some additional research before I placed my order as some of the options are now included in the Prestige package vs 2014. (nice but a little confusing) But all in all I've had a blast researching the A6 and the test drive sealed the deal for me. 17-November is my expected delivery date and I look forward to the Audi emails notifying me of the progress of the build.
    Again, your explanations were very clear and helped me fully understand the engine and package offerings. Great job and greatly appreciated.

    If you were looking to purchase an A6 for use in a Black Car service, would you recommend diesel over regular fuel? I'm specifically curious if fuel savings would be greater than maintenance costs.
    Any other information would be very much appreciated. Your video, which is excellent and by far the most thorough "review" video I've come across in weeks of searching - regardless of make/model, has completely sold me on the A6 as the car for my business.
    I have a ton more questions but I'll settle on the diesel v. regular. I appreciate your time and attention. Again you've sold Audi to me and as another posted said if I was in SoCal you would be the man I would come to deal with.

    I must say I really enjoyed this video. I own a 2013 A6 2.0 Quattro Premium Plus, and I'm thinking about upgrading to the Prestige 3.0. The only suggestion I might add for future videos, is a discussion on the adaptive cruise and maybe a little more info on the lighting package, both interior and exterior. But still a VERY good video. Heck, I didn't realize I had the grocery bag hangers in my truck until I saw this, so thanks.

    Great Video! My question is though when will we the next generation A4 hit the showroom? I am in a 2 year lease(Infiniti, which sucks) and I can't wait to get back into the A4. Its up in August of 2015. Do you think it would be out by then? Also in your opinion what are some of the new features it will include? I recently saw the 2015 A3 and couldn't believe all the new and available options they offer in the entry level car. Do you think any additional options will be available that are not currently in the a4?
    -Thanks

    • @OfficialAudiMV
      @OfficialAudiMV  Před 10 lety +1

      Christopher, thanks for the comment and the questions! Audi is pretty hush-hush with release dates on redesigns for two reasons: 1. They don't want to delay buyers who may buy now instead of later, and 2. Because no one wants to over-promise and under-deliver. So I'll tell you what the best strategy for you is: When you are about 6 months away from your lease-end (Feb 2015), touch in with your local dealer. We actually have an entire department devoted to this: goo.gl/UBk4pr. Our guys there do lease returns all day long (for Audis and non-Audis alike). Personally I expect the A4 will be ready in time for you, but nothing is certain until it happens, right? I know our dealership has helped people out in the past when their ordered cars were a week or two away from when they were forced to turn in their cars. I have also heard of lease extensions from the manufacturers (Infiniti included). That's a question for Infiniti Financial Services - I've got a friend who can advise you on this - his name is Michael Norris: (949) 916-4208 and he works for our Infiniti dealership. As for the equipment on the new-generation A4, I would definitely expect everything that is coming up in our new A3, which can be seen here: goo.gl/xctplv. Hope that helps!

  • @OfficialAudiMV
    @OfficialAudiMV  Před 10 lety +2

    @Ho Ty, sorry I could not reply directly to you as your comment is linked. The 2.0T A6 comes standard with 17" wheels. You can add the "Style Package" for $1,500 that adds the 18" wheels and Xenon / LED Headlights. For an additional $800 you can step up to 19" wheels. (19" wheels require Style Package).

    Does the TDI version have the traffic light engine stop feature. Do any of the A6s have break energy regeneration?

    • @OfficialAudiMV
      @OfficialAudiMV  Před 10 lety +1

      Narayan, both the gasoline and TDI A6's have the engine stop feature. Typically when you have brake energy regeneration, there is a electric motor involved such as in hybrid or fully electric cars. As you may know, the A6 is not offered with an electric motor so there is no real benefit to having brake energy regeneration.

    I'm buying it. I drove the Audi A6 V6 Supercharged Car today and was blown away. Even with four doors this car is sexy. This car is superbly engineered and fast as hell for a stock car under 70k. The car and Tiptronic paddle shifting is super cool and makes you feel like you're in a tiny rocket. There may be faster cars for cheaper but they don't have the badass suspension, beautiful engineering and electronic feature sets this car offers. Just my opinion, go drive one yourself and be amazed. Also have to say great video presentation, well covered and great speaker, thanks for posting it.

    I am looking at the 2014 A6 2.0T Premium Quattro. I am going to ask for the maintenance package but do you think an extended warranty is necessary when the car is initially purchased?

    • @OfficialAudiMV
      @OfficialAudiMV  Před 10 lety

      Johnathan, if you are leasing the car and plan to turn it in before the factory warranty expires, there isn't really a need to get a warranty that extends past that time. However, you can still purchase an extended warranty while your car is still covered in most cases. The best thing to do is to consult a salesperson as part of the whole purchase so that you can get the best idea of what makes the most financial sense for what you want to do.

      Neat! I got a comment from someone in Denmark that said their styles on the A3 were "Ambition", "Attraction", and "Ambiance". Out of curiosity, do all of your models go by SE / Sport / S-Line? For example, you can get a Premium A6 and a Premium A4 here. Also, what is in your Black Edition? Sounds very mysterious :)

Also the Balck edition has so much on it (top of the range version) But it comes with your "black optics" package and 5 Rotor Rims! Maybe go have a look On Audis UK web site for all the version's! I would love a ceritifed used 2012-13 S line. Like the F30 335s but the A6 is roomier and offers almost same performance

      Yep, the S6 has your name on it - or can I recommend the matte gray Audi RS7 that we just got in stock? It's pricey, but so very sexy: www.audimv.com/new-inventory/index.htm?model=RS+7&&&&

    1:32 Aluminum is stronger than steel?? You must be talking about strength to weight ratio, otherwise, that is a very broad statement and is incorrect in many cases. There are many different alloys of both and each alloy has different properties. In general, steel is stronger than aluminum, so you should really specify what you are talking about because just saying that aluminum is lighter AND stronger than steel is misleading. One reason for such, if aluminum is such a superior material to steel, then why are the chassis made out of steel, like you mentioned?

    • @OfficialAudiMV
      @OfficialAudiMV  Před 10 lety

      Volnik, you're right - the use of the material is the key; It's in engineering the shape of the parts and the construction techniques used that make use of a materials' properties. If I misspoke in the video it was my mistake; the point is that when you turn aluminum parts into a car, the net benefit is better - lighter weight and better energy dispersion on impact which, when properly engineered, make for a safer vehicle. In fact, using rigid steel can often harm occupants - take a look at this: 2009 Chevy Malibu vs 1959 Bel Air Crash Test

    $53,000 + a 2.0T is a pretty goddamn weak engine.

  • @kestralz1
    @kestralz1 Před 10 lety

    The base model of this car is a rip off and an insult. its a good 8000$ more than a4 yet includes the same engine... atleast they should have awd on the base model or put 3.0 engine as default.
