Did you know that in elf, the part when will Farrell is running around New York interacting with people was shot for real with real people who didn't know they would be in the film. It was so they could get genuine reactions from the public.
True! Makes the scene so much better. Also, the gum on the railing was pre-chewed by Will and put on a clean strip of plastic, in case anyone was gagging thinking about that scene :P

This movie is evergreen. It will never not be funny. I remember when it came out almost 2 decades ago and it still makes me laugh hysterically. Will Ferrell is a national treasure. Also, those interactions with all the random new yorkers were just will in costume being insane. Love the reaction. White christmas is my other favorite christmas movie. Totally different... more of a musical.

Iâve never been a massive Will Ferrell fan. He can often be so over the top that it doesnât really work with the tone of a movie, but here it works perfectly. Heâs like a big kid. If you havenât seen A Christmas Story, itâs an excellent one too.
Yeah, I can only think of three movies I really like him in. This, Megamind, and Bewitched

OMG lights first, then string garlands, then ornaments, then tree topper. Tree skirt usually either first or last.
Ornaments are easier to take on and off if they are on top of lights and string garlands. Topper (if you have one) last as the "crowning"/ finishing moment :)
Yeah, you gotta do the lights first so you can put them inside the branches and stuff too, so the lights will be behind the ornaments! Ornaments first would just be a giant pain in the ass, lol.
Absolutely lights first! So you can wrap them around and inside of the tree branches, so they'll sparkle from inside of the tree and behind the ornaments. The ornaments can capture the light from them beautifully that way!

Of all the things I think about you Seb, âinnocent boyâ isnât one of them.
One of the best thing about this movie is that Zooey Deschanel can actually sing like that. She was in a musical duo called She & Him, has released Xmas albums and she plays keyboard/ piano, drums, banjo and ukelele. I absolutely love her and her sister Emily.

This movie and all of the Rankin/Bass stop motion claymation movies. Every year I watch them and Elf.
My favorite parts of the movie that never fail are when he hears Santa is coming to the mall.
1. "SAAANTA!!! I know him. I know him!"
2.The singing in the shower scene right after. It was so sweet and funny.
3."YOU SIT ON A THRONE OF LIES."
There are xmas t-shirts and sweaters with him saying that quote.

This is probably my family's favourite Christmas movie of all time. We watch it at least every year and quote it more than pretty much any other movie throughout the day. Absolute classic, and really fun to see someone experience the magic for the very first time!

Always the skeptic, I looked up to confirm this and found out he was also in Ironman as well as the new Spider-Man movie coming out. Same role in both movies as the scientist that says "Well I'm not Tony Stark."

All the scenes where it's supposed to show off how big he is in the north pole is just some clever camera work.
When it look like he's sitting next to everyone, he's actually sitting close to the wall, and the set was made just so that when the camera faces it a certain way, it looks like it does.
This is so much fun. ItÂŽs a feel good movie and you can feel that it is iconic even when watching for the first time. "You sit on a throne of lies" must be my favorite quote. I get how Christmas doesnÂŽt feel the same as when we were kids I guess it is up to us to try to make it great. I am grateful I still have a younger sibling who still has that magical look on Christmas and itÂŽs great to pretend to make it fun for her. Also I love figuring out what to give to people thats what makes it fun for me as an adult. Hope everyone is feeling the Christmas magic. :D

I have watched dozens of different people reacting to videos, but you are the coolest.
I'm kinda manic on the inside and my favorite moment is when he's running around and around the rotating door and screaming. And my favorite quote is "Son of a nutcracker!" I also like cotton-headed ninnymuggins. This movie is great, man. Instant classic. There's some dumb jokes in it I guess, but the whole idea is that he's kinda innocent and sweet and there's all the Easter eggs from classic Christmas movies and shows in it and it just has that right feeling. It's not secretly pervy or shallow. It's just a fun movie.

I found out that that scene of Elf calling For his dad in bed, was mostly improv from Will and James got so mad during it because the scene was supposed to end but Will kept going XD

To think James Favreau will go on to create the MCU with directing Ironman 1 & 2 as well as being a executive producer in many of the MCU films. He also pretty much help save Star Wars with the Mandalorian and the upcoming Book of Boba Fett after the hole new trilogy fiasco.
