- Ahoy Mates! ⛵️ No quarantine, living alone, UK people and culture, the weather - these are a FEW things I'm sharing my HONEST thoughts about and first-hand experiences in this video!😋 It's been just 2 weeks but it feels like it's been 2 MONTHS since I've arrived - but I'm feeling much better now and feel like I've settled in well 😇

How is it possible to relate THIS hard to to someone experiences 😭. Literally love how you’ve gotten stories to communicate absolutely everything I’ve been feeling.
A few of my top tips are basically just pack smart/ prioritise the right things to purchase immediately. I’ve packed so many useless cotton shirts or formal dresses from back home, when all you’ll wear for the first fortnight is your comfiest full pants and jumper collection. They do have shops here, and dresses particularly are affordable so don’t pack your whole closet.
Also, high key hate the water here as well so if getting a filter may take a while, just spend that extra quid for a bottle of mineral water. It’s worth avoiding the dehydration migraines.

Decathlon in the Grafton Centre is great for cheap thermals and winter coats. Dunelm at the Cambridge Retail Park, just off Newmarket Road is fab for bedding. A tad pricey but worth it, would recommend going for a 12 or 15 tog on the duvet. And maybe a hot water bottle lol

@Hanifah - I think you may find that is because London is the most non-British city in the UK. There are many advantages with this but maybe the loss of basic manners is one of the downsides.

@@SailingwithSharvani I call them a hot water bottle, it's like a thermal/plastic bag that you fill with boiling water (be safe!!) and it will keep you warm when you sleep. Also good for period cramps:)
British weather is very unpredictable 😂 you'll get used it after a while though
