why on earth is this social service representative smiling? It's so, so, so, inappropriate smiling whilst discussing children who are being taken completely unnecessarily. I don't understand, I know older children who are not removed or helped by the social services, no attempt even to support the families, even in more severely abusive environments. The completely innocent but perhaps slightly vulnerable parents, sometimes single parents, or parents with disabilities are very often scrutinized and condemned as unfit to parent, and their children are taken. This is absolutely horrendous, and to top it off the system is horrendously flawed, fast track adoption is supported by many mps, funds are low for the people most in need, watching this video has left me in tears, why is this world so bloody cruel and hard to live in, these poor parents and children.

The dhhs of my state got myself and my husband on high severity neglect of my newborn baby 5 days after his birth, we were still in the hospital and even though we had done nothing wrong, I had prenatal care, I was undergoing treatment for addiction I had everything in order they still took my baby boy......the hospital staff, my doctor, and all professionals involved except dhhs believe this was wrong but they don't care. And the fosters are a lesbian couple that believe that my baby is thiers. They keep him from me and my family as much as they can. I was breastfeeding and they would interfere and made it so difficult I had to stop.

My son was taken away from me when he was 8 months old. He was born on a military base and the military and cps conspired to take him away from me because I was bipolar. Thankfully at the hospital my grandma stepped in and told them that if something happens to my son or to me she will hold them responsible. Sadly cps came when my son was 8 months old and took him away. They said I was doing drugs. Said I smacked my son because he had bruises on his back. All I did was pick him up and accidently pinched his skin with my nails. I haven't seen him since he was 13 months old. He would now be 9. But my oldest son who's autistic I can have because he isn't adoptable. Until a child is 13 years old they are in danger from cps. They are nothing but baby stealing monsters and need shut down!

also if anyone wants to know why my children were taken. the reason was my son started having alot of seizures which I obviously took him to hospital for. social services accused me of hitting him on the head with something heavy to cause the seizures when in real fact he has epilepsy... that didn't work to have them removed then they went back into my history to find another reason to take them away... I was sexually abused from the age of 11 until 17 by my step father the used that against me and said I didn't know right from wrong and they went with sexual abuse in court the judge granted adoption also said because I was never shown any love by my own mother It would be impossible for me to show my children love... I love my children to pieces everyday apart from them is hell on earth so I can only imagine how it is for them... now I can't see them until they are 21 my children are 5 and 3 and them I can only see them if they want to see me... how is this fair.. Absolute no justice! God I only recently found out out the true extent of forced adoption. Looking into being a foster carer in the future but it's hard knowing that these children I may well care for have been ripped out of families, it's just disgusting. The whole system is screwed up and I hope one day the family courts will be made public. Am so sorry for your loss. I hope you can all rejoin again as a family, but if you have to wait till they are 18, then I wish you all the love in rebuilding your relationships as a family together.

This reminds me about an American lady who got her child taken. Her child died at 10 yo. She had a mental break down due to her loss. Her marriage split and lost her job. She slowly got back on her feet, mental clarity, work and a new relationship. Five years later she falls pregnant. As she is in hospital pushing yes pushing. 2 social workers walk in. They indentify themselves as CPS and that they will take the baby as soon as she delivers. This stuck in my head for so many years. Thanksfully she thought them and got her daughter back. unfortunately it took 2 years for her to get her back full time and missed a lot of her early mile stones. They took the child away because she went through depression in her life more than 5 years prior for a brief amount of time. No social workers were involved during her pregnancy, no communications.

We recently got our baby back after 8 months of enduring the lies told by various professionals. The social worker even tried to derail a reunification by telling a stack of lies including: the baby was born early because we were using hard drugs on the evening before he was born causing a premature birth, that we hadn’t established a bond with him, that we missed most contact sessions and didn’t attend our appointments. All was total horseshit that was fabricated by her to ensure a negative outcome of the assessment carried out by a child psychologist, the child psychologists had never met us or our son. Thankfully the cafcass guardian was on our side as was the judge who ordered his immediate return.
A fair system is needed.... They twist the truth and facts to look bad..or cherry pick...they can and will use allegations even tho it isn't founded...but if one is made against a foster carer this is classed as unfounded..they interview the child on there own or with someone and say something that the child hasn't even said..the system is corrupt.

It wasn’t till I started recording what was going on , and one day was seen recording that I was the signed off . My children who have grown up now said that what the social workers did to them damage them more , than ever seeing me go through a brake down , because I was still always doing my best for my children, making sure they always had hot meals , any thing they ever needed , clean clothing and love . I had a gagging order on me from being able to talk to anyone else about the case . And was told I wasn’t allowed to show emotions in front of my children . My 20 year old is now worried about showing emotions and will suffer in silence. I had lost three family members in the space of a year I was broken for a bit and depressed, and removing children from parents,when other help could of been given is disgusting, I am so happy after a year I got them back , but only after I learned to be emotionless.

I had to support 3 women with a learning disability loose their babies minutes after birth, within 6 months. This is not rare at all. The standard on how good a mother you may be is impossibly high for women with a learning disability or mental health issues. I have 2 children and feel I am a great mother but know I and many other Mothers I know would fail the tests given to these mothers. The Social worker speaking here looks, smiles and speaks very like the many social workers I had to work with. The social worker is very powerful and their voice is loudest in all courts. ps and as a person who was supporting the parents I was treated like a bag of dirt by these social workers too. He asked, why is it that we don't hear many stories about the good work you are doing, and the children you are saving. That's simple, because such stories are extraordinarily hard to find. Social Services snatches these "highly adoptable" babies and very young children, and they leave the truly abused, and neglected children in horrid situations, because they create more work for them, than they feel they are worth. If they are placed outside of the home, they become problem cases, and a burden for them, due to lack of desirability for adoption, and from foster care givers, because they are "damaged goods" in their eyes. This makes them less marketable or profitable, so these poor little ones are treated as such. Not valuable. This is utterly shameful and disgusting!
When my daughter was being sexual abused by a paedophile ring the social services took my parental right away and she was being dropped off at the house for months . The police then say there is nothing they can do until a victim comes forward and allow this to continue yet they are fully aware of the situation. Over 20 children were going to that house and social services had the PR for the most of the children and allowed it to continue. This situation is heart breaking and as a parent you are left powerless .
Now a days they judge based on skin not circumstances. Your kids are gone before you go to court in Georgia. They'll drag you if it's wrongful displacement and proven in court. I know I'm dealing with this myself and it's sick and mentally draining. Everyday I worry about my kids mental going threw all this. They try to buy my kids everything and they still want to come home. 3 homes and still no kids. Every court date has a new requirement on me based on the neglegance of dfcs. It's not fair. I'm a wife and my kids father abondonded us. I tried to get help before him walking out but they ignored me because I'm black, a woman, a wife, and didn't really need assistance at the time. They ignored the fact I keep applying for benefits and renewals at least 6 times a year. They ignore the apps for child support and tanf. I went to work but my husband can sleep with dfc worker and all charges against him for neglect gets dropped. He abandoned his family for a woman who only wanted his money. Now she wants divorce after finding out we still married. I know too much but...this is how I tell my truth...safely. The Family Court doesn't work in the same way as the criminal court. In criminal proceedings, any interviews and statements made and included as evidence must be audio-recorded and transcribed verbatim. This is not a requirement in Family Court. Therefore an informal conversation, in the home, between a parent and a social worker can be quoted as evidence in court. How can there be any guarantee that the parent really said this? If they did, what was the context, what was said by both parties before and after the section used as evidence? Furthermore, in criminal court, guilt is judged based on 'reasonable doubt'. Meaning that there is enough evidence to prove 'beyond reasonable doubt' that the crime was committed. However, in the family court, guilt is based upon 'probability', meaning that if enough evidence is presented it can be said that it is 'probable' that the accused is guilty! Another issue is that the courts habitually accept the evidence submitted by SS as the truth, without the requirement of verifiable evidence. This evidence is more often than not based on stereotypes, assumptions, hearsay and the opinion of the author and their manager. Furthermore, often the accused - parent- is not given the opportunity to contest the accusations made against them, even when they are in possession of verifiable evidence that proves that SS accusations are incorrect. The entire system is well overdue reform - families are being destroyed and both parents and children left with irreparable emotional damage!

I am first time mum and my partner is a first dad. My baby girl 8weeks and 3days. she has never set foot in our house because she was taking before I gave birth in there eyes we are bad parents because my partner has mental health problems. I had a emergency c section only spent a week with her in the hospital before I left. I got told I abandoned her because she stayed in the hospital for a extra 3days because she was on antibiotics. The social services are telling me i have to leave my partner to get her back or a mother baby foster placement and we only get to see her 3 times a week for a hour and half. I left the hospital only because the social services told to me to for my only mental health because I have depression. We have never been given the chance to be parents. I have helped my mum raise my younger brothers I did child care which I past and I worked in day care centre for 2yrs. We were told we would get parenting classes we never got them. and I got told I was getting antenatal classes and I never got them. the social services told us we were going to bring our daughter home If with had support around us. Which we did they Lied and twisted their words. There all corrupted.

It's easier to find a family that's willing to raise a child that came from a good home, rather than a child who's been abused . Why ? The courts rely on these reports to make a ‘right’ decision for the benefit of the child. This isn’t a court issue, this is an ofsted making targets issue!
Oh, I know a girl that was going to lose her baby. After birth, they sent her to a rest section and monitored the baby, telling her she was not fit to look after the baby and adopt it out. They gave her an injection once a day. They wanted her baby and they were going to take it, until a male friend stepped in. They were determined to take the baby. Excuse was her mental health was not good enough to keep baby. She was not a criminal, not sick. Work that one out.

why on earth is this social service representative smiling? It's so, so, so, inappropriate smiling whilst discussing children who are being taken completely unnecessarily. I don't understand, I know older children who are not removed or helped by the social services, no attempt even to support the families, even in more severely abusive environments. The completely innocent but perhaps slightly vulnerable parents, sometimes single parents, or parents with disabilities are very often scrutinized and condemned as unfit to parent, and their children are taken. This is absolutely horrendous, and to top it off the system is horrendously flawed, fast track adoption is supported by many mps, funds are low for the people most in need, watching this video has left me in tears, why is this world so bloody cruel and hard to live in, these poor parents and children.

The dhhs of my state got myself and my husband on high severity neglect of my newborn baby 5 days after his birth, we were still in the hospital and even though we had done nothing wrong, I had prenatal care, I was undergoing treatment for addiction I had everything in order they still took my baby boy......the hospital staff, my doctor, and all professionals involved except dhhs believe this was wrong but they don't care. And the fosters are a lesbian couple that believe that my baby is thiers. They keep him from me and my family as much as they can. I was breastfeeding and they would interfere and made it so difficult I had to stop.

My son was taken away from me when he was 8 months old. He was born on a military base and the military and cps conspired to take him away from me because I was bipolar. Thankfully at the hospital my grandma stepped in and told them that if something happens to my son or to me she will hold them responsible. Sadly cps came when my son was 8 months old and took him away. They said I was doing drugs. Said I smacked my son because he had bruises on his back. All I did was pick him up and accidently pinched his skin with my nails. I haven't seen him since he was 13 months old. He would now be 9. But my oldest son who's autistic I can have because he isn't adoptable. Until a child is 13 years old they are in danger from cps. They are nothing but baby stealing monsters and need shut down!

also if anyone wants to know why my children were taken. the reason was my son started having alot of seizures which I obviously took him to hospital for. social services accused me of hitting him on the head with something heavy to cause the seizures when in real fact he has epilepsy... that didn't work to have them removed then they went back into my history to find another reason to take them away... I was sexually abused from the age of 11 until 17 by my step father the used that against me and said I didn't know right from wrong and they went with sexual abuse in court the judge granted adoption also said because I was never shown any love by my own mother It would be impossible for me to show my children love... I love my children to pieces everyday apart from them is hell on earth so I can only imagine how it is for them... now I can't see them until they are 21 my children are 5 and 3 and them I can only see them if they want to see me... how is this fair.. Absolute no justice! God I only recently found out out the true extent of forced adoption. Looking into being a foster carer in the future but it's hard knowing that these children I may well care for have been ripped out of families, it's just disgusting. The whole system is screwed up and I hope one day the family courts will be made public. Am so sorry for your loss. I hope you can all rejoin again as a family, but if you have to wait till they are 18, then I wish you all the love in rebuilding your relationships as a family together.

This reminds me about an American lady who got her child taken. Her child died at 10 yo. She had a mental break down due to her loss. Her marriage split and lost her job. She slowly got back on her feet, mental clarity, work and a new relationship. Five years later she falls pregnant. As she is in hospital pushing yes pushing. 2 social workers walk in. They indentify themselves as CPS and that they will take the baby as soon as she delivers. This stuck in my head for so many years. Thanksfully she thought them and got her daughter back. unfortunately it took 2 years for her to get her back full time and missed a lot of her early mile stones. They took the child away because she went through depression in her life more than 5 years prior for a brief amount of time. No social workers were involved during her pregnancy, no communications.

We recently got our baby back after 8 months of enduring the lies told by various professionals. The social worker even tried to derail a reunification by telling a stack of lies including: the baby was born early because we were using hard drugs on the evening before he was born causing a premature birth, that we hadn’t established a bond with him, that we missed most contact sessions and didn’t attend our appointments. All was total horseshit that was fabricated by her to ensure a negative outcome of the assessment carried out by a child psychologist, the child psychologists had never met us or our son. Thankfully the cafcass guardian was on our side as was the judge who ordered his immediate return.
A fair system is needed.... They twist the truth and facts to look bad..or cherry pick...they can and will use allegations even tho it isn't founded...but if one is made against a foster carer this is classed as unfounded..they interview the child on there own or with someone and say something that the child hasn't even said..the system is corrupt.
Social workers lie , and leave out information, or add information to strengthen the case against the parents. It wasn’t till I started recording what was going on , and one day was seen recording that I was the signed off . My children who have grown up now said that what the social workers did to them damage them more , than ever seeing me go through a brake down , because I was still always doing my best for my children, making sure they always had hot meals , any thing they ever needed , clean clothing and love . I had a gagging order on me from being able to talk to anyone else about the case . And was told I wasn’t allowed to show emotions in front of my children . My 20 year old is now worried about showing emotions and will suffer in silence. I had lost three family members in the space of a year I was broken for a bit and depressed, and removing children from parents,when other help could of been given is disgusting, I am so happy after a year I got them back , but only after I learned to be emotionless.

I had to support 3 women with a learning disability loose their babies minutes after birth, within 6 months. This is not rare at all. The standard on how good a mother you may be is impossibly high for women with a learning disability or mental health issues. I have 2 children and feel I am a great mother but know I and many other Mothers I know would fail the tests given to these mothers. The Social worker speaking here looks, smiles and speaks very like the many social workers I had to work with. The social worker is very powerful and their voice is loudest in all courts. ps and as a person who was supporting the parents I was treated like a bag of dirt by these social workers too. Horrible people!

He asked, why is it that we don't hear many stories about the good work you are doing, and the children you are saving. That's simple, because such stories are extraordinarily hard to find. Social Services snatches these "highly adoptable" babies and very young children, and they leave the truly abused, and neglected children in horrid situations, because they create more work for them, than they feel they are worth. If they are placed outside of the home, they become problem cases, and a burden for them, due to lack of desirability for adoption, and from foster care givers, because they are "damaged goods" in their eyes. This makes them less marketable or profitable, so these poor little ones are treated as such. Not valuable. This is utterly shameful and disgusting!
When my daughter was being sexual abused by a paedophile ring the social services took my parental right away and she was being dropped off at the house for months . The police then say there is nothing they can do until a victim comes forward and allow this to continue yet they are fully aware of the situation. Over 20 children were going to that house and social services had the PR for the most of the children and allowed it to continue. This situation is heart breaking and as a parent you are left powerless .

Now a days they judge based on skin not circumstances. Your kids are gone before you go to court in Georgia. They'll drag you if it's wrongful displacement and proven in court. I know I'm dealing with this myself and it's sick and mentally draining. Everyday I worry about my kids mental going threw all this. They try to buy my kids everything and they still want to come home. 3 homes and still no kids. Every court date has a new requirement on me based on the neglegance of dfcs. It's not fair. I'm a wife and my kids father abondonded us. I tried to get help before him walking out but they ignored me because I'm black, a woman, a wife, and didn't really need assistance at the time. They ignored the fact I keep applying for benefits and renewals at least 6 times a year. They ignore the apps for child support and tanf. I went to work but my husband can sleep with dfc worker and all charges against him for neglect gets dropped. He abandoned his family for a woman who only wanted his money. Now she wants divorce after finding out we still married. I know too much but...this is how I tell my truth...safely. Colored people barely have rights and if you speak up you get whipped by the government and that's REAL life. Just speaking my truth. God has me and God will keep protecting us.

The Family Court doesn't work in the same way as the criminal court. In criminal proceedings, any interviews and statements made and included as evidence must be audio-recorded and transcribed verbatim. This is not a requirement in Family Court. Therefore an informal conversation, in the home, between a parent and a social worker can be quoted as evidence in court. How can there be any guarantee that the parent really said this? If they did, what was the context, what was said by both parties before and after the section used as evidence? Furthermore, in criminal court, guilt is judged based on 'reasonable doubt'. Meaning that there is enough evidence to prove 'beyond reasonable doubt' that the crime was committed. However, in the family court, guilt is based upon 'probability', meaning that if enough evidence is presented it can be said that it is 'probable' that the accused is guilty! Another issue is that the courts habitually accept the evidence submitted by SS as the truth, without the requirement of verifiable evidence. This evidence is more often than not based on stereotypes, assumptions, hearsay and the opinion of the author and their manager. Furthermore, often the accused - parent- is not given the opportunity to contest the accusations made against them, even when they are in possession of verifiable evidence that proves that SS accusations are incorrect. The entire system is well overdue reform - families are being destroyed and both parents and children left with irreparable emotional damage!

I am first time mum and my partner is a first dad. My baby girl 8weeks and 3days. she has never set foot in our house because she was taking before I gave birth in there eyes we are bad parents because my partner has mental health problems. I had a emergency c section only spent a week with her in the hospital before I left. I got told I abandoned her because she stayed in the hospital for a extra 3days because she was on antibiotics. The social services are telling me i have to leave my partner to get her back or a mother baby foster placement and we only get to see her 3 times a week for a hour and half. I left the hospital only because the social services told to me to for my only mental health because I have depression. We have never been given the chance to be parents. I have helped my mum raise my younger brothers I did child care which I past and I worked in day care centre for 2yrs. We were told we would get parenting classes we never got them. and I got told I was getting antenatal classes and I never got them. the social services told us we were going to bring our daughter home If with had support around us. Which we did they Lied and twisted their words. There all corrupted.

People who adopt, usually want kids who don't come " damaged " from abuse, drugs, etc . They'd much rather have a child that's already well adjusted, than one they have to work on with mentally or
physically.

That’s exactly right!! The psychologists and parenting assessors get the heads up before they assess the parents and whatever outcome the social worker wants, that’s what they get. The courts rely on these reports to make a ‘right’ decision for the benefit of the child. This isn’t a court issue, this is an ofsted making targets issue!

Oh, I know a girl that was going to lose her baby. After birth, they sent her to a rest section and monitored the baby, telling her she was not fit to look after the baby and adopt it out. They gave her an injection once a day. They wanted her baby and they were going to take it, until a male friend stepped in. They were determined to take the baby. Excuse was her mental health was not good enough to keep baby. She was not a criminal, not sick. Work that one out.

You don't know if a child is in danger while the mother is pregnant. In two cases I heard about women who left England to have their babies abroad because they were told their baby would be removed at birth. It is disgusting.
