While speeding over a bridge can be dangerous. The cops need to start enforcing strict lane laws. Any driver that hogs the left lane is significantly more dangerous than a speeder
Their explanation makes sense. Perhaps we just have no idea what to do with all the space given the old bridge felt like driving through a narrow alley side-by-side with another car.
I just took the I-355 and I was the only person doing the speed limit. Everyone else is going at least 90, cutting each other off, and tailgating. I have been driving for more than 10 years and not a single cop
listen, the 55 limit is more for ticketing then it is for safety. Its likely less safe as it is straight up challenging those who couldnt give any more fudges for the change in speed signs, and the puzzy puzzle pushers that dont want a simple ticket in the history of their useless lives, are more consirn to me. make it a minimum 60 panziez
@@get_a_job633I also looked up your claims about wrecks and there is NOTHING pointing to a crash on the new bridge, quit your mindless pandering and go do some research
There are no where near enough police officers to make a dent catching excessive speeders. We need to post speed cameras for any real change. New York State has already started them.
This speed trap is obviously fruitful if you can have multiple car and an airplane, this about money not safety. I guess you have to pay for the bridge somehow.
People need to start complaining about distracted drivers and those that continuously drive slow in the left lane. I have gotten into some close calls with people who hog the left lane
@@jasonlop10 right. The left lane is meant for passing If the vehicle is on the right lane going 55mph, then you can pass them at the speed limit. But because you’re going the speed limit doesn’t make you entitled to own the left lane

I'm sure they're not complaining about the cash grab from the fines
It’s not about speed, and they are willing to drive 300 km to prove it!
I saw a far amount of people speeding over the old bridge too. Not as many as the new one I imagine.
Is that the new bridge down in the Quad Cities? Or in Peoria? Why don’t they say where it is, I-74 bridge in WHERE???

there is not many signs there that let you know what the speed limit is
to bad people cant learn to use cruise control
How about having them come around my area?
In town state roads too.

Agree
It doesn't matter. They're always faster. Construction zones are the worse.
Set up a toll

Ha ha caught the perps
The cop told a person he believed they were going 77 mph believe Hell, I would have told him to show me his radar gun.
That is not the 74 bridge that's Bull
