  • In this Lagniappe Lessons Short, Ms. Joliet talks about where vocalists (pop, rock, jazz, etc - non classical) should position their microphone. Mic positioning is highly subjective, but in general quieter vocalists need to be closer and louder vocalists can be a bit farther away. In a live performance, vocalists need to be close enough to the mic to allow enough gain before feedback.
