Its true. Alan Silvestri, Jerry Goldsmith, Basil Poledouris, John Williams, James Horner, the greatest of the great. Predator and Alien, greatest movie of all time... Well realized confrontation with an alien life form is something mystical. Here everything could have gone wrong but it didn't. God the Father was watching over these films.
Did you know this is reference to the song playing in the helicopter at the beginning of the movie? It's the line " gonna have some fun tonight" it shows how macs mind has broken down, and he keeps repeating the line over and over.

Someone has finally realized this fact. This is exactly what helps The Predator movie to stand as one of the greatest movies of all time is the effect it has to put you to sleep and but then wake you right back the hell up! What always woke me back up was the Predators vision, laser and plasma shots. This movie has it all, from the most legendary bad ass people to actual incredible gun fire and explosions while being hunted by the most bad ass hunter of all time and to do it in the most incredible ambiance ever is why I have watched this movie more than any other movie and will continue to.
'So you cooked up a story and dropped the six of us in a meat grinder!!', 'what happened to you dillon?, I used to trust you?''I woke up, maybe you should to.'

Aaaaawww fuuuuuu**, he forgot the drums!! Those are like a cold breeze, a vibe change, I imagine that every living creature when they hear it they just stay still, like a Jaguar, listening.
I went to see this classic at its premiere in 1987 and since then I have never stopped seeing this epic movie, Stan Winston was an outstanding creator and designer, it is incredible that Jean Claude Van Damme refused to star in the Predator, there was a conjunction of stars like Arnold Schwarzenegger, Alan Silvestri, John McTiernan and of course Stan Winston, the creator of this wonderful Predator, in a time of colossal productions like the unbeatable 80's. The atmosphere of this great video transports us and immerses us raw inside that majestic film
@@HartmutJagerArt I enjoyed him in Bloodsport as well as Universal Soldier. There was also Hard Target, which to this day for me is a movie about Gambit from the Xmen lol. Much respect to both Arnie and JeanClaude, each is a genius in their own way.
Always thought 'Predator' was horrific. Without doubt the best that Arnie has done. The idea that a routine military mission becomes something else. It's got a creeping sense of dread & terror that the other sequels never quite got. The new film 'Prey' comes closer to the original than any other. This spooky ambience is great!!
@@idiom2805 Yep! Jean Claude Van Dam was apparently hired to be the 1s Predator in the early stages. I'm glad that McTiernan+Co spent more time down there developing the final 'wild boar-crab monster' we finally see!
This is my number one movie of all time. So much, I even own the same predator Bowie knife the men have in the movie. I keep it next to me as I watch the bluray on my 1000w sony surround sound. And when Billy stops on the crossing of the jungle log, I pull it out and imitate him at the exact time he draws it out and pulls it across his chest.

I need an ambient long play track of the James Horner martial action sections of the Aliens OST, Ripley's Rescue, Futile Escape, and so on. Haven't found the right thing just yet, so I just tracklist and loop them for now, lol.
Director McTiernan was really smart. He had the writer and creator of Lethal Weapon, Shane Black with him to correct any writing additions/corrections. He placed him as the one of the characters in Dutch's crew.
This is one of the most sought out scores by film composer Alan Silverstri. His score for the sequel(Predator 2), which is my favorite by the composer, is insane. The percussions are out of control.
Much like Cameron's Aliens (1986), it's the tense build-up play of the first half of the movie, accompanied by this exquisite soundtrack, which really shines in its own right and makes the more explosive, action sequences more thrilling. Absolutely genius score.
