Panama's Chorro El Macho or Chorro El Macho trail is located within 10 minute’s drive from the center of El Valle de Anton Panama.
We highly recommend taking the guided tour of Chorro El Macho. As you walk along the trail, your guide will teach you many interesting things about the local flora and fauna. At the end of the tour, you will see the beautiful Chorro Macho waterfalls.
The trail isn’t too challenging and takes between two and three hours to complete. In our opinion, this is one of the most instructional El Valle hiking trails.
Watch out for sudden thunderstorms!

I don't know that much about Panama but it certainly is a country with so much amazing biodiversity! You could easily spend weeks exploring the vast rainforests there, just my kind of day!

We watch a lot of sailing channels, who head over to Panama.
The shocking mess and polution you see from their perspective definately put us off going there.
So it is pleasing to see that this looks so pristine and unspoilt.

In our experience, this mostly was NOT the case - but then again, the areas that we explored were pretty much rural and relatively far from the big city, big towns and canal.

Our tour was incredible, and it exceeded all my expectations. Although I had seen oropendola nests on nature shows before, seeing them up close was awe-inspiring. Thank you for joining us on this adventure!
Ahhh that's what a rubber tree looks like! I don't think I have ever seen one before! That's why I would love a guided tour like this, you get introduced to some incredible things that you wouldn't have noticed otherwise!
The rubber tree was very cool to see as were the (hanging) Oropendola nests. Our guide, Edwin, is knowledgeable and is a fun person which made our tour even more interesting.

Such an interesting trek through the jungle. I had never seen a rubber tree and a bleeding tree before. That was quite a close call with the lightning. I would have been scared out of my pants. 😯
