Loving the Nuggets in rain or shine seasons for 32 years as a season ticket holder and missing, she says, only seven games outside of COVID, Ray has held a most coveted spot in Ball Arena.

Oh definitely. I love when they try to get all political and then fight each other with nobody losing their jobs. It's not boxing/MMA or Wrestling receipts (and some keep their job despite infamous botches to actually injure opponent). I also think of glitchy, overpriced sports video games that get outdated in a year as well as have whales buy their predatory currency. Some comments also say they did this to flip her discounted tickets for a profit. So much for women's history month.

It's definitely over money. She probably had a good rate for the seats because she was going to every game even when they were awful. I remember seeing her as far back as the 90s when winning over 20 games was a good year for the Nuggets. Now they can gouge some new season ticket holder and make slightly more money, which is all that matters to the organization.

Now most teams/leagues allow season tickets holders first purchase or first right of refusal to be nice but they can at anytime tell you to fuck off. They don't even need a reason. If you've been a season ticket holder long enough, they grandfather your prices or try to negotiate seating. So her season ticket seats were pennies on the dollar for the kronkies.

@bjknochel2055 don't even man. 2010 they started the "stimulus" package where they would increase your rates for club or first level but designate you two additional seats in section 350 or 312 or keep your rates the same (grandfather pricing). I got club level season tickets, section 242, row 2 seats 3 and 4. 16 years now amigo. Prices have gone up about $150 a season vs new season ticket holders paying 2K plus your season pricing.
Tell me your ticket rep, or I can take you to club level and we can wait outside of box 22 and ask Stan next time he's there.

They’re forcing out a season ticket holder who paid probly 10% of what they can charge people now that they are a relevant franchise. Absolutely sickening and I hope she sues, wins a boatload, and is given back her tickets that rightfully belong to her.

Anyone here ever been a season ticket holder for a team that went from mediocre/bad to really good in a couple years? I have, and trust when I say that once the team starts making more money and the ticket values go up, they will try anything and everything to squeeze you. If you call in to complain or negotiate, they put someone on the phone who will try to get you to either pay up, or forfeit your tickets. (The Sacramento Kings box office tried to get me to change my season tickets to row R in the upper level because "it would have better concession access." The Kings tried to cop out and claim that their season ticket sales are being run by a 3rd party, but I was never able to find this 3rd parties name. Eventually, I caved in and discontinued my season tickets for this year. The price increase was just too much and I'd rather spend that money and time with my son. But yeah, if you have ever been a season ticket holder, especially one with primo seats, then you know that they will squeeze you and push you to spend spend spend, or gtfo. (I did speak with a supervisor of customer relations and they smoothed things over and offered me some free perks, but I still discontinued my tickets.)

Starting with CU going to paid cable channels back in the 90's, I have seen so many instances of major sports institutions selling out "The Game" for the sake of more money. The sad fact is: business is business. People need to stop forking out major dollars just to watch sports events: it's all become a scam.

I used to be a die-hard Yankee fan. Until I went to Yankee Stadium to see them. How they treat the average fans is disgusting! After my horrible experience there I slowly got disinterested in sports. It was an eye opening experience to see these billion-dollar franchises not give a crap about their fans. Not...one...bit.
The new Yankee Stadium outright is lousy and shames the site.
And that's the main reason I don't support sports. They are loyal to their money and not for the loyal fans. I rather invest my money and time into lives that will appreciate even a simple hug. Finding a real and noble cause to support brings real meaning and joy.

Read your comment and was wondering where you got "last May" from. I watched the video three times over after and she was banned mid-February (1:27) so it was more recent. They are definitely looking to upsell her tickets this postseason for a profit now they have a championship under their belt.

We have season tickets for the AVS and used to have season tickets for the Nuggets. Every season they raise the price and you have the option to buy. She's not locked in to a lower price.
Now, does that even make sense? Think about it🤔: Vicky’s Ongoing Fandom is more Valuable than The Increase in Season Tickets. Her Presence Generates more Interests, which generates more money( advertising/promotion ). So, She must have done SOMETHING, to get her BANNED.

I was a founding Season Ticket Member of Inter Miami CF and actually travelled to their first ever Match in 2020 in Los Angeles. Three years later, even after they signed Messi, I cancelled my Membership choosing myself over the team and their greed.
Being a Fan is great but don’t make it your passion. There will come a day down the road when your many years of loyalty and hundreds of thousands of dollars spent supporting the team don’t mean anything to team ownership.

Corporate DOES NOT care about one woman's ticket money. I'm not saying she did anything wrong, but it's highly likely "something" happened(and probably more than once). Otherwise, those in charge would have no reason to even look into her seating, etc. One woman's tickets are not worth it for Corporate to deal with the media. There's definitely more to this story.
