We adore Joe and Dianne in this house. I have a 7 year old son, heâs autistic, non verbal and finds it hard to interact with things. Heâs watched Joe and Diannes dances on repeat since week one. Smiling, giggling and getting excited. He leads me to the tv when Strictly is starting, heâll sit and have tears rolling down his face because heâs so in awe of them. As a mother, whoâs tried for 7 years to find something he truly loves, itâs come along just like this and I couldnât be more thankful for Joe and Dianne. I have a feeling theyâll be a huge part of our lives now. 100,000 of those views are probably Arlo lol. Xx

The fact that this dance got the same score as his American Smooth is crazy. This was a million times better!
I actually disagree. I thought last week his dance was better overall. What let him down last week was little mistakes and his "little bottom". Dianne said he hadn't been doing that in training and he had performed the dance better than on the night. If he hadn't made those mistakes I think he could have easily scored over 30 last week . This week it felt more stiff and less fluid. He struggled with the mid-body action which is very important for the cha cha (so I've heard), but his footwork and arms are good I think. When you look at how Dianne's dancing compared to Joe you can see where Joe's going wrong. Her movements are a lot more smooth and circular.

Chiz she is a pro dancer though you have to keep that in mind. And generally the males have it far worse than the female celebs on the show that's not an opinion it's a fact.. bearing in mind all of this it's only week4 and this dance did deserve a couple more marks than 26. Like giving an 8 to dances which clearly didn't deserve an 8 is quite questionable..

Everybody has a little truth here, I believe. First of all it would have deserved more than 26 points, but I also think their american smooth would have deserved even more. I also have to admit that his cha cha isn't the best. For himself of course not bad, he's an absolut beginner, but the judges don't give points considering these things. Were you good in that style or not? Because though we can see, that he didn't have mistakes here, and we have to be very proud of him, because it can't be easy learning every week a new dance with the fact that you've only a basic dancing knowledge, or you just doesn't have any... But his cha cha just wasn't in the right style, I believe. He tried so hard, we saw flashes about how it should look like. Obviously if they have had at least half year learning it, it would have been better, just look at Dianne, she probably practiced it a lot before.. So she is a good example how a cha cha cha looks like, but obviously we can't compare them. I also agree on that one, that there are other competitors who got more points with a worse (not bad!) dance, sooo...
All in all, I think their american smooth were better in style, but both of the dances were underscored. Also I really love that their dances are always very creative, usually fun. The others' production are sometimes just boring.

Tony Morris Same! I think, unfortunately all of the judges have their favorite couple from early on (which they overmark) and less favorite couples (which they undermark) continuously. Itâs a shame! Iâm rooting for Joe&Dianne âĄïž

penny and fishy yes definitely... I thought he would maybe give a six, but not a five! I agree with the other judges tbh but Craig really brought the score down and I donât understand at all why it was so low?

What I have noticed is that the couple's at the beginning of the show get scored more harsh compared to the couple's near the end. I bet if he was near the end he would have got higher. Just goes to show that even the audience enjoyed it as he got a standing ovation! Definitely underscored
Yeah because Faye was last in week 1 and she joint topped the leaderboard, Ashley was last in week 2 and she topped the leaderboard and Stacey was up last tonight and she topped the leaderboard (hmm strange)

Joe had no hips and no passion he didn't look like he was enjoying this so it was not as good as other dances he had done Craig was right I actually think the judges overscored him on technicality there was not a lot in there!

As a dancer myself, joe's technique has improved leaps and bounds in the past few weeks! Yes, his hips could use some work but that's always one of the hardest parts for men to learn because they usually don't use them the same way women do. Also the outfit this week is an absolute LOOK!

I honestly donât know which dance Craig was watching, but it certainly wasnât the same one I was watching. A 5 was harsh and a bit of an insult. 7âs across the board, or even a 6 from Craig, would have been reasonable and a true reflection of what the dance deserved. Having said that Craig is entitled to his professional opinion, and I canât pretend to have more knowledge than him.
He should be so proud of himself. He looked like a stiff wooden doll at the start of the week so I was quite impressed.

How did he only get a 5 from Craig? This was an amazing performance. Sure he needs to work on his hip action a little but I think he at least deserved a 7.

Strong Cha Cha from Joe, he seemed relaxed and comfortable which are needed in a cha cha. He just needs to have more hip movement and it would have been near the top of the leaderboard. 7.5/10

This was really good. Joe had some fantastic, consistent hip action throughout the dance, and I thought he did a great job keeping up the timing. This is definitely his dance!

Absolutely brilliant... I canât get over just how good he is. Yes there are some rough edges but for a complete dance beginner to come out and perform the heck out of a dance like this whilst also mastering some of the difficult techniques really does blow my mind. Go Joe!

The highschool musical one was fairly judged, but this dance was so underscored! In my opinion this dance deserved 7,7,7,8

Amazing job Joe!! This dance was such a fun, cool, really happy dance and now everytime I hear "I just got paid" I can't help but smile and dance along and I just fill with that same kind of joy and fun that Joe brought to this dance. Its a wonderful feeling
Ah, glad we are back to Latin again! I was very surprised by his straight legs here! Good lock steps and those Cuban breaks were really really good. Only a couple things, strangely I didn't feel their connection this week! I also think the some of his hand shaping was a little off, especially on the New York. But he had good energy, and it was a very competent performance! I enjoyed it! 7.5.
Craig gave them a 5 sadly, which I think was a bit too low.
that's odd, I actually felt their connection more than ever this week but I guess that is a pretty subjective marker!

The judges definitely made a mistake tonight. 26 is not enough for this amazing performance. Honestly. Joe did so well!!
Judges scores: 5,7,7,7 - comments were complimentary (Craig was a bit more grumpy) but with some constructive criticism, his timing and charm are good but needs to work on his hips.
