    ABOUT US -
WHO: We are Gin and Ring, from the Snowy Mountains in New South Wales, Australia. We are World travellers, Adventurers and Searchers. Watch our story here - • Rings Great Adventure ...
WHAT: We’ve been on Rings Great Adventure since 2017 when we sold up and left our childhood town in search of our best life. We live a minimalist life, choosing to collect memories and experiences over things. We care passionately about the environment and wildlife and like sharing our experiences, both good and bad, hoping to learn how we can better appreciate our planet whilst leaving little to no footprints along the way.
WHY: Watching our channel you should see a fair share of highs and lows as we convert vans and buses, travel to new places mostly slowly and sustainably, and try out some epic bucket-list-worthy experiences all while connecting with friendly people we meet.
BONUS: Oh, and you’ll get to know our travel buddies, Taka & Roodi, who travel with us when they can!

It's been 6 years since we decided to make the change we deserved and give ourselves a work-life balance. It's not been easy but the rewards have far outweighed any hardships. This is our journey into a life of adventure. We hope you stick around and enjoy, what we hope, are inspiring accounts of our happiness.

This one was pretty awesome! The system that helps the train climb the mountain and to reduce speed on the down hill is cool! Do you know of any unique trains in your area? We’d love to add some to our travel list for the future!

I spent a week down there for my schools work experience program, we’re I got fire the locos for the day( not number 3 but I was on number 5). Also did a bit of driving. The loco crew are really nice guys( I know all three of them). Hope you enjoyed it

It was such a great day!! Super impressive engineering and you're right, the guys are all super friendly and made the day 💛
We were honestly very fortunate to get on as the last 2 tix available for the next 2 week period were on the one day we had free!!! And with the crew shortages, it sounds like a few extra hands would go a long way to making this an experience available to many more in the future. Is this something you'd like to do in the future?

Must have boiler water contamination to blow down a boiler in full pressure. Normally done in the workshop depot before the start of the day at low pressure.. not surrounded by passengers watching.. an fun day well done and thanks.

What a nice train. I love the carriages.
Its cool that they tell you all the history of the area while you are exploring.
I have never seen a train turn around like that it was really interesting. xx

This train ride proved to be a lot more interesting than we expected! We had no real expectations, but taking the ride was such an experience, with so much history and engineering facts shared! Perfect for a history nerd 🤓
